Welcome,

Durham Nation 2012 will mark our first ever auction at the ranch. In doing so, we have truly opened the gates, offering you the very best of our cow herd. From heifer calves, to bred heifers, young cows with heifer calves at foot, and flushes on our most productive cows, the offering is not only elite but also very unique. Unique in that ourShorthorn cattle are bred with one goal in mind; To win back the commercial cowmen across the country. Historically, our bulls get the attention and garner the headlines, but what makes them great is the cow herd. Industry driven andruthlessly culled, any are capable of making an industry leading sire or top cut donor female. They have proved it.Herein lies your opportunity. Few operations have what you will find in abundance on November 3, 2012.In compiling this offering, we have invited some close friends with similar goals and programs to share their cattlewith you as well. The crews from JDMC, GCF, GAL, and S/S have brought their very top to help further the strengthand depth of the most powerful offering of its kind.We have access to nearly 2000 acres within a 60 mile radius of the ranch for upland game hunting. If you would liketo extend your trip some, let us know, we would be happy to accommodate. Also, as many have already inquired, theentire 2013 bull offering and their dams will be available for viewing as well prior to and throughout the sale weekend. We hope you are able to take some time from your busy schedules and be with us on Saturday, November 3rd. Restassured you will not be disappointed.Sincerely,Derek

Selling the right to one flush. Guarantee six transferrable embryos. Flush to take place prior to 1-1-13. Buyer pays all flush costs. This impressive beast has a proven track record when it comesto making exceptional cattle. She leaves nothing on the table when it comes to performance andpower. She has landed bulls across the country but the upside of this cow probably has yet to berealized. We are anxiously awaiting her litter of Red Demand calves next spring.

Examined safe to Colonel Gus; due 3-10-13. 127Y is a big time ShorthornPlus heifer. A favorite ofthe crew, I will also never forget when Jordan Holt saw 127Y’s dam, 75W, and asked if I knew howmuch she would be worth as a club calf cow. I think this daughter could be even better. colonelGusx4155032.Service sire to several of the JSF bred heifers. “CG” was usedcommercially for two years on Brandon Koenig’s ranch with no assisted births. I took no time in saying“yes” when he asked me if I could use a good heifer bull as he had retained many daughters. He bred allof our heifers last year and what a set of calves. I will not have enough of his sons to sell in January andhis daughters will headline our bred heifer offering next year. He has earned a place breeding cows hereand I believe that says a lot.
