Performance for the DDES CCG area – September 2017
Locality report for: NHS Durham Dales, Easington and Sedgefield CCG Red performances remain low in September 2017, although improvements have been made in some areas. There has been an improvement in Red 1 performance in Easington and Sedgefield, although there has been a deterioration in Red 2 and Red 19 performances for all areas. Conveyance rates overall and to A&E have improved in Durham Dales and Easington and deteriorated in Sedgefield and Trust wide.

The overall Trust performance in September was 73.33% for Red 1 (against 73.56% last period) and 53.65% for Red 2 (against 56.20% in August). Performance has improved in Easington and Sedgefield with Easington performing above the trust average for Red 1 and has deteriorated in all three areas for Red 2 and Red 19.
Red 1 response time - 95th Percentile
95% of Red 1 emergency incidents were reached in just 12:42 minutes across the Trust area, which has decreased by 23 seconds since August. All three areas have seen improvements in response to Red 1 incidents this month, and Easington and Sedgefield have a 95th percentile lower than the Trust average.

Ambulance Quality Indicators
The Trust’s Hear and Treat rate has improved in Easington, although has reduced in Durham Dales and Sedgefield and the trust wide position has deteriorated since last month. Re-contact following telephone advice and re-contact following treatment at scene have deteriorated overall in September 2017.
All localities but Easington have performance against Hear and Treat below the Trust average in September 2017.
Re-contact following telephone advice has deteriorated in Easington and improved in Durham Dales and Sedgefield in September 2017. Re-contact rate following discharge on scene has also deteriorated in all areas but Sedgefield.
The Trust’s overall conveyance rate was 74.16% (against 73.87% last period) and specifically to EDs was 61.73% (against 61.47% last period). The conveyance rate overall and to ED has improved in Durham Dales and Easington, although has deteriorated in Sedgefield and Trust wide since last month.
