DuraSystems Absorption Panels consist of one

backing layer of DuraSteel, 4 insulation, followed by

one facing layer of perforated sheet metal. This

innovative design translates into an acoustical wall

system that can provide a Noise Reduction Coefficient

(NRC) of 1.05 as well as a Sound Transmission Class

(STC) of 45.

DuraSystems Absorption Panels are unique in the

industry. By incorporating DuraSteel as the backing

layer of the Absorption Panel, engineers can achieve

the same fire resistance benefits that one can expect

from DuraSystems extensive line of passive fire

protection systems. Along with excellent acoustical

properties, DuraSystems Absorption Panels provide up

to 6 hours fire resistance, for that added sense of

security.

ACOUSTICAL DATA.

Noise reduction is the ability of a material to absorb sound. The greater the Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC), the more

sound is absorbed, the quieter your space will be.

Transmission loss is the ability of a material to block sound. Sound Transmission Class (STC) is a single number ratingused to define a materials transmission loss properties. Transmission loss values are in decibel (dB) and STC values

provide an easy way to compare how much sound is blocked out by various wall types.
