So you want to eat (and drink) like locals? You can’t get more local than at establishments that can only be found in DuPage County.

ANYWAY’S has two locations, and they’re both in DuPage (Oakbrook Terrace & Bloomingdale). These classic neighborhood restaurants and pubs are a favorite casual gathering place with a traditional urban feel, pool tables, darts, plenty of TVs, and an all-season porch room and outdoor beer garden.

Barbakoa (Downers Grove) is a fun, eclectic restaurant that serves delicious Latin cuisine infused with passion, love and great service.

Church Street Brewing Company (Itasca) is a production brewery that is open select hours on Thursdays through Sundays. Stop in to see the brewery, try a sample or a pint, and take home a growler.

Dell Rhea’s Chicken Basket (Willowbrook) is a nostalgic 1940s Route 66 roadhouse that was featured on The Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives,” among others. This is the place to go for comfort food. They have the best fried chicken around!

Lynfred Winery (Roselle) is the oldest and largest continuously-operating bonded winery in Illinois. Take a tour of the winery and tasting room. They produce over 50 varietals, many of which are award-winning, that you can take home and enjoy.

Mesón Sabika (Naperville) features tapas, authentic dishes of Spain, and is located in an 1847 Georgian-style mansion with patio dining that overlooks their beautiful gardens.

Park West Smokehouse (Villa Park) is a family-run restaurant known for their family-recipe barbeque sauce. They’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Reserve 22 (Glen Ellyn), with its view of a spectacularly landscaped golf course setting, offers seasonal menus, 24 craft beers on tap, an extensive wine list, and live entertainment on weekends.

Two Brothers Brewing Company & Tap House(Warrenville) is a family owned and operated microbrewery and brewpub that has been hand-crafting artisan beers since 1997.

There are several DuPage County restaurants that have sister locations, but only in the Chicago area, such as Chuck’s Southern Comforts Café (Darien), Ditka’s (Oakbrook Terrace), Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse (Lombard), Heaven on Seven (Naperville), Old Town Pour House (Oak Brook), and Real Urban Barbeque (Oak Brook).
