The companies were charged with multiple criminal violations of the Clean Water Act. Persons directly and proximately harmed as a result of the conduct charged in this matter may have rights under the Crime Victims’ Rights Act. See 18 U.S.C. § 3771. If you believe that you are a crime victim in this matter, please contact the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina at [email protected] no later than March 26, 2015. The U.S. Attorney’s Offices will have no further comment on this matter until after court proceedings. # # #
