Horatio Alger Association:  This scholarship program provides financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. The scholarships are given to deserving students each year and range in award value from $10,000 to $25,000. To be eligible for this scholarship program, students must meet the following criteria: Currently be enrolled as a senior in high school, progressing towards graduation this semester; minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average (based on a 4.0 scale); be a resident of the state of PA, demonstrate critical financial need, ($55,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is required); show evidence of integrity and perseverance in the face of adversity; intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree; be a citizen of the US.  Application deadline is October 25, 2020. THE COCA-COLA SCHOLARS PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP: is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors each year. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, and their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. With the 32nd class in 2020, the Foundation has provided over 6,300 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $72 million in educational support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship. Applicants must be:

Current high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the United States (or select DoD schools);

U.S. Citizens; U.S. Nationals; U.S. Permanent Residents; Refugees; Asylees; Cuban-Haitian Entrants; or Humanitarian Parolees;

Anticipating completion of high school diploma at the time of application; Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution;

Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship : Any high school senior, who is a U.S. citizen, and is in the top 10% of their class, is eligible to apply. Male and female students compete separately for identical awards. Application includes application form, essay, parental financial analysis, SAT/ACT scores, two letters of recommendation, and high school transcript. Attached copies of exhibits of achievement in scholarship, leadership, athletics, dramatics, community service, or other activities are required. Application deadline is November 15, 2020. Prudential Spirit of Community Award: The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards were created in 1995 to recognize students in middle and high school grades who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteering service. Application deadline is November 10, 2020. Application is online at http://spirit.prudential.com.

Hagan Scholarship Foundation: Is a nationwide, need based, merit scholarship for high achieving students who will require financial assistance in order to attend college. Applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.5, a SAT score of 1200, complete the FAFSA, and have an EFC less than $6,500. Scholarship application is available at www.hsfmo.org. Application deadline is November 15, 2020.

WPGA Western Pennsylvania Golf Association Scholarship Fund: The fund began as a Caddie Scholarship Fund, but was expanded to include employees in the clubhouse, golf shop, golf course, swimming pool, or tennis court. High school seniors or students in their freshman or sophomore years in college are eligible. The scholarship is for one year, renewable up to four years or until graduation, whichever comes first. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA to continue receiving this tuition scholarship. Criteria include financial need, academic performances, overall character, and a minimum of two golf seasons of employment at a WPGA Member Club. The value of a WPGA four-year tuition scholarship is $12,000-$15,000.  Application deadline is November 30, 2020. Application is online at www.wpga.org.

DecemberNHS Scholarship Program: This academic year, a total of $1 million—a new record amount—will be awarded to outstanding senior members of the National Honor Society (NHS) through the prestigious NHS Scholarship program. Any senior NHS member in good standing may apply. The application link for NHS-affiliated schools, as well as the complete breakdown of award amounts and additional information, can be found at www.nhs.us/scholarship. The application deadline is December 1, 2020. NASSP is the parent organization of the National Honor Society.

AXA Achievement Scholarship: To qualify, students should be well-rounded, committed to making a difference and have demonstrated achievement – at a job, sport

PSECU Scholarship Program: PSECU will offer six scholarships, each up to $8,000, to members graduating high school. Each recipient receives up to $2,000 per year for up to four years, providing scholarship requirements are met. To qualify for one of six $8,000 PSECU scholarships, you must:

Be a current PSECU member Be a graduating high school senior Plan to attend a two- or four-year college or university Complete the scholarship application packet Have the completed materials to PSECU by Noon on February 26, 2021 - no

exceptions! Must be a member of PSECU by December 31, 2020 Application is online at www.psecu.com/scholarships.

Bud Lutty Scholarship Competition: Preliminary applications are now being accepted for the Bud Lutty Scholarship competition for the Fall 2019 through Spring 2020 school year, divided equally among 14 recipients. For the 2019-2020 school year, Trustees have allocated approximately $35,000 to be awarded as individual scholarships of $2,500. Applications are available on the Union’s website at www.ufcw1776.org. Application deadline is December 31, 2019. Please stop into the guidance office to see a listing of employers that contribute to the Fund. Students who are either employees or dependents of employees of these contributing employers are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Marine's NROTC Scholarship: Basic Requirements: Age 17-23 Physically qualified by USMC standards Complete USMC PFT SAT score of 1000, ACT score of 22, or AFQT score of 74

College Raptor Scholarship: To help students take a thoughtful approach to the college decision process and pay for college, a $2,500 scholarship is being awarded by College Raptor. Application is available at www.collegeraptor.com/2500scholarship. Application deadline is December 31, 2020.

Sandy Cochran Memorial Fund Scholarship – One mission of the privately endowed fund is to support students who are committed to pursuing a career in forestry, natural resource management, and/or environmental science – and then applying that knowledge to provide the very best in natural resource management to the 17- county region of northwestern PA and southwestern NY. The endowment funds approximately 1 – 4 scholarships annually, with a value ranging from $250 - $1,000. Scholarships are awarded for study in a 2 or 4-year program in forestry, natural resource management and/or environmental science. Application is available at www.sandycochran.org. Pennsylvania JCI (Junior Chamber International) Senate: The Pennsylvania JCI Senate annually sponsors a scholarship for senior students who are residents of PA. We will be awarding two $500 scholarships this year. The applications of these two recipients will then be forwarded to the United States JCI Senate Foundation for further judging. The scholarship application is available on the U.S. JCI Senate website www.usjcisenate.org. Click on “Scholarship Program” in the top header for the link to the application. Each student needs to submit only one copy of the completed application and appropriate attachments via postal mail. The completed application, with all appropriate attachments, must be returned to the state chairperson by January 24, 2020.

Rove Pest Control: Rove Pest Control in Minneapolis is pleased to offer The Rove Pest Control Scholarship application. This scholarship opportunity is open to high school students and graduates nationwide in the United States of America who have been accepted to a college or university. This award will be presented to a United States student for the following academic year in the amount of $500.00 and will be paid at the beginning of the fall semester (2018).

Requirements:

o The scholarship is judged primarily on academic achievement, but financial need may also be considered.

o Applications for the scholarship can be submitted by any high school senior or high school graduate nationwide in United States of America.

o Applicant must be accepted to a college and enrolled in courses full time.

Elks National Foundation Legacy Awards: Legacy Awards are $4,000 scholarships for children and grandchildren of Elks members. The Foundation will offer a total of 300 awards in the 2020 contest, an increase of 50 awards. The 2020 contest will open on September 1, 2019. The deadline for applications for the 2020 contest will be January 31, 2020 at 11:59 a.m. Central Time. Application is available at https://www.elks.org/scholars/scholarships/legacy.cfm.

The Garden Club Federations of PA Scholarships: All scholarships are awarded to students who plan to further their education in Agriculture Education, Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Architecture, Conservation, Forestry, Biology (excluding Pre-Med), Botany, Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Environmental Control, City Planning, Wildlife Science, Land Management, and/or allied subjects. Applications are available at http://www.gardenclub.org/scholarships/scholarship-application.aspx. There are 10+ scholarships on this website. Application deadline is February 1 for all scholarships.

Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Professionals – The PA Association of Environmental Professionals announced they are now accepting applications for two $1,000 college scholarships. PAEP will award a $1,000 scholarship in honor of Gifford Pinchot to college freshman or sophomores and a$1,000 college scholarship in honor of Maurice Goddard for college juniors and seniors to students pursuing degrees in environmental science or related field. Both scholarships additionally include free attendance and stay at the 2019 PAEP Annual Conference at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in State College on May 8-10. Prospective applicants please keep in mind that dependents of PAEP members and student PAEP members receive bonus points in their application evaluation. PA Junior Wrestling Area VIII: A scholarship fund has been established for Area VIII seniors who are planning to further their education. It is for those who have been involved with the sport of wrestling for at least 3 years (wrestling, cheerleading, team

Daughters of the American Revolution – Pennsylvania DAR Student Scholarship, Louise V. Nelson Nursing Scholarship, & Mary Reider American History Scholarship - These scholarships are available to any high school senior residing in Pennsylvania who is graduating from a secondary school that is registered, accredited, approved or licensed through the Pennsylvania Department of Education. An affiliation with the DAR is not necessary to qualify for this scholarship. Evaluation of all applicants will be made by the State Scholarship Committee who will then notify only recipients by May 15th. Applications will not be returned. Payment of this scholarship will be placed on deposit with the college or university prior to the fall term. Application available in the Guidance Office or online at http://www.pssdar.org/. Applications must be postmarked to the local DAR Chapter by February 15, 2020.

Blackwood Music Scholarship: Scholarships and grants totaling $20,000 will be available for the year 2018 to seniors intending to pursue a college degree and a career in music performance. Interested students may download the guidelines and application forms at https://www.blackwoodarts.org/scholarships. Application deadline is February 15, 2020.

Simon Youth Foundation: Simon Youth Foundation works to help students achieve their goals, and cost alone should not prevent a student from furthering their education. Ralph G. Eckert Scholarship (Warren County Conservation District) – The Ralph G. Eckert Scholarship is awarded annually by the Warren County Conservation District to a deserving student planning to continue her/his education in a conservation-related field of study. Examples are Forestry and Wildlife Management, Environmental Planning and Management, Agronomy, Earth Science, Biology, Natural Sciences, Environmental Engineering, and Soil Science. Hermine Solt Student Scholarship: The Pennsylvania Association of Educational Office Professionals' Student Scholarship Fund was established in 1992 for the purpose of aiding students in PA to pursue higher education in a business-related field. Scholarships of $500 each will be offered to students who meet the requirements.

Women's Club of Warren - The Education, Scholarship, and Historic Preservation Group of the Woman's Club of Warren is pleased to announce the scholarship program. The ESHPG will be offering up to three scholarships to young men and women who are or will be enrolled in post-secondary education during the next school year. General Joseph Warren Chapter – DAR – Essay Contest: All high school seniors enrolled in Warren and Forest Count schools are eligible. The essay must be 500 – 1000 words. Essay requirements are in the guidance office. Essay deadline is March 15, 2020.

TFEC Scholarships: There are multiple scholarships available at www.tfec.org. Scholarships open January 1. March 1 is the deadline for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Scholarship. Several TFEC scholarship applications have a March 15 deadline – but pay close attention, as there are some with deadlines before or after this date.

Elk County Community Foundation – Ruth E. Reed Nursing Scholarship: This scholarship is eligible for seniors graduating from any high school in Elk, Clearfield, or Warren Counties interested in pursuing a degree in nursing. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (84.0500). Any student who is awarded this scholarship through the Elk County Community Foundation and attends a Pennsylvania post-secondary institution may be offered a matching grant (via PHEAA’s PATH program) for the amount of the scholarship they’ve already received. Application deadline is March 17, 2020. Application is available in the Guidance Office.

Warren Art League – Criteria for this scholarship includes applicant must be a resident of Warren County PA, be a high school graduate and enrolled or accepted to a college or university, have a letter of acceptance from an accredited college, have a letter of recommendation from his/her advisor, guidance counselor, or Visual Arts supervisor or teacher. Emory J. Mahan Memorial Scholarship: Scholarships are awarded to selected Warren County high school seniors annually by the Warren County Republican Committee (WCRC). Currently, the scholarship awards are one-time awards in the amount of $1,000. Recipients are selected primarily on the basis of a competition wherein scholarly essays written by the applicants on a topic determined by the WCRC Scholarship Committee are judged for their conservative values and positive support of our Constitution and Constitutional Republic. PA Association of School Nurses and Practitioners - Future Nurse Scholarship: PASNAP is proud to offer a $1000 award to a high school senior pursuing a Bachelor or Science in Nursing. This scholarship was initiated in memory of Richard Berritini, a Certified School Nurse for almost 15 years at Port Allegheny High School. He lost his life in 2008 serving for the National Guard in Afghanistan. The winner will be notified via telephone by June 1. The award will be sent in the student’s name directly to the college or university of the winner’s choice. Application deadline is May 1, 2019. PA American Water Stream of Learning Scholarship Program: Pennsylvania American Water’s Stream of Learning Scholarship Program was created to provide post-secondary scholarship assistance to students living in the company’s service area who plan a course of study crucial to the water and wastewater industry. To apply for a $1,000 scholarship, students must: currently live in a household that is served by PA American Water, plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college or technical school, plan to study environmental science, biology, chemistry, or engineering. Moose – Moose Family Center, #109: The Moose Family Center offers student scholarships for Warren County School graduates. Awards are primarily based on need or extenuating circumstances, grades, and character. Mountain Laurel Federal Credit Union Scholarship: Seniors must be a member of Mountain Laurel Federal Credit Union in order to qualify for the scholarship. Sheffield Music Boosters:   The Sheffield Music Booster Organization Awards up to five (5) Scholarships per year to selected students in the music program. REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY:

1. Must be an active member of the music program during their senior year. 2. Must have been an active member of the music program for a minimum of

three (3) years. This includes Marching Band (playing an instrument, color guard, etc.), Concert Band, Steel Drum, Jazz Band etc.., and choir. Exceptions will be made if student transfers from another schools music program.

Samuel Epstein Scholarship: Requirements for Acceptance include: in attendance at SAMHS for at least 2 years prior to graduation from SAMHS and accepted at a post-secondary institute in a program of at least 2 years. Doctor Almo Sebastianelli Drum corps Scholarship Fund: is available to any senior residing in Pennsylvania who meets the following criteria:  A child or grandchild of a Pennsylvania legionnaire in good standing or a child or grandchild of a deceased Pennsylvania Legionnaire.  To be eligible a student must be a member of a high school band who is going on to higher education majoring in music. The student needs to include his/her current high school transcript. The higher education school must be in Pennsylvania, letter of college acceptance must be included.  selection will be made by the members of the committee.  One winner will be selected to receive a $500.00 scholarship.  Anyone wishing to apply is required to submit an application on or before May 1st in order to receive consideration for the following September to: The American Legion, Department of Pennsylvania, 800 N Front Street, Wormleysburg, PA  17043. PREA Scholarship: A minimum of five $1,000 PREA Scholarship Trust Fund in Memory of William F. Matson scholarships are available.

Who is eligible? The PREA Scholarship Trust Fund in Memory of William F. Matson offers scholarships to sons and daughters of members and employees of electric cooperatives in Pennsylvania and New Jersey who belong to the Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association. Applicants must currently be high school seniors and able to furnish necessary aptitude test scores and financial need information. A minimum of five $1,000, one-time scholarships will be awarded.

Important dates to remember: All applications and required information must be received no later than May 6, 2020. Finalists will be sent a follow-up questionnaire that must be returned by June 12, 2020. Scholarship awards will be announced at the Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association Summer Meeting in July. Melvin G. Keller and Mary F. Keller Scholarship Fund: The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships for young men and women who graduate from the Warren County School District. In granting awards, the Selection Committee may give preference to student graduates who make public school teaching their profession and who have lived within the area encompassed by the Warren County School District. Warren Garden Club: Warren Garden Club will offer a scholarship in the amount of $500.00 in 2020 to a high school senior, college or graduate student who plan to further their education in horticulture, floriculture, landscape architecture, conservation, forestry, botany, agronomy, plant pathology, environmental control, city planning, land management, and/or allied subjects. National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth: Scholarship eligibility includes: Be under the age of 21 as of September 1, 2020; Actively pursuing post-secondary education; Be eligible for McKinney-Vento assistance or have experience homelessness while in school; Undocumented students who meet these criteria are eligible. Future Environmental Leaders Scholarship Program: The contest is open to high school seniors planning to attend either two-year or four-year colleges to pursue an environmentally related career. Seven winners will be selected, one from each geographic region served by PPL. Each winner will receive $2,000 toward college expenses. Application is available at www.pplelectric.com/scholarship. PB & J Scholarship: This scholarship is for students who have experienced challenges in their life and who have the drive to succeed. It is open to all college-bound seniors who are attending an accredited 2-year or 4-year college in fall 2020. Application deadline is May 31, 2020. The Robert J. Trace Scholarship Fund: is available to every student 15 to 18 years of age residing within the state of Pennsylvania and meeting the following criteria:

A child or grandchild of a Pennsylvania Legionnaire in good standing; A child or grandchild of a deceased Pennsylvania Legionnaire; A child of a Pennsylvania soldier that was killed as a result of the war on terrorism

including the Pentagon, Iraq and Afghanistan.

To be eligible a student must compose a 300 to 500 word essay on the topic “Patriotism and Citizenship – What America Means to Me”, and complete an application containing the information of the person through which the eligibility for this scholarship is made. Robert W. Valimont Endowment :   The Robert W. Valimont is awarded once a year of $600 and is mailed directly to the student after a copy of their grades for that semester is sent in to department and has a grade point average of 2.5 or better. Gavenonis is awarded twice a year of $500 each semester after the student sends a copy of their grades to Department Headquarters and has a grade point average of 2.5 or better. A check will be mailed directly to the student for that semester. This scholarship is for seniors who wish to receive a degree in a four year college. Application deadline is May 31, 2020. June and beyond

Oris Brown/Sheffield Lions Club Scholarship: This scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship given by the Sheffield Lions Club in memory of Oris Brown, who was a teacher at Sheffield High School and a member of the Lions Club. This scholarship will not be based on the parents ability to put their student through college, but on the students ability in the classroom; his/her ability to get along with their teachers, fellow students, etc.; his/her academic achievement; and his/her involvement to better SAMHS and the community in which they live. Applications are available in the guidance office. Application deadline is June 1, 2020. Returned completed application to the guidance office.

Warren County Educational Support Personnel Association (WCESPA): This scholarship is open to any senior graduating from the WCSD. It does not exclude home or cyber schooled students. Application includes two, 200 word essays on pre-determined prompts. Applications must be postmarked no later than June 15, 2020. Application is available in the Guidance Office.

Northwestern PA Section S12 of the Society of Plastics Engineers Scholarship: This scholarship is intended to reward outstanding high school students planning to attend an accredited Plastics Program such as Plastics Engineering Technology, Plastics Engineering, Materials or Polymer Science. Other disciplines may be considered based on their relationship to SPE and the Plastics Industry. This is a one-time monetary award of up to $500. One award will be given in each of our three service area counties: Erie, Crawford, and Warren County, PA. Application deadline is June 30, 2020. Application is available in the guidance office.

The Recovery Village Health Care Scholarship: To enter to win a $1,000 scholarship, simply submit a short essay (no more than 500 words) describing why you are passionate about substance use disorder and mental health treatment. Essays can be in the form of a personal narrative with a medical perspective or focus specifically on clinical experience.
