Dubai British Foundation (DBF) – Building Update

Progress, 4th

Of May 2014

A lot of progress has been made since our last post: all main building structural work is complete; works

in play area have started; foundations for shades are underway; Pergola foundations are complete and

installation to follow; swimming pool tiling has been completed, all aluminum main doors are installed,

all store and bathroom doors are installed fixed and bathroom fit outs are carried out; class room doors

are being installed; sub base for flooring is being done; external GRC 90% finished; the boundary wall is

95% complete and the block paving has started in the front of the building.


15th April 2014

Another exciting two weeks have passed and we have completed the entire Super Structure, which will

be followed by the installation of GRC elements. Internal and external windows are also under

installation. The MEP continues to be on track; the Boundary wall is 60% complete and the railings will

be installed by the 2nd week of May. The tiling work has commenced in all bathrooms; the internal

primer is underway; celling grids are being installed all areas and the self-leveling compound for the

flooring will commence within a week.The Swimming pool will be completed mid-May and external

works will commence from the 1st week of May, which will include the external play area.


31st March 2014

All internal block work walls will be completed 2nd week of April. The underground tanks are to be

inspected. All areas of the MEP istallation are on schedule. The main transformer has been delivered

and the installation of external windows will begin 2nd week of April.

19th March 2014

A lot of progress has been made since last week: part of the Super Structure has been completed; the

Parapet will be finalized by the end of March; the Boundary Wall installation is underway; the MEP is in

progress and the Swimming Pool is also under construction.


10th March 2014

Our Projects Team on site have completed the Foundations. Also, the installation of the Precast Panels is

in full swing and our completion target for the Super Structure is end of March 2014.
