Abstract example:
The study is to show how even a “sport” video game can incorporate many types of learning, to call attention to what might be overlooked as significant forms of learning, and to understand and take advantage of the opportunities video games afford as more deliberate learning environments. The aspects explored are the skills and techniques required to be successful in the game, the environment that skaters skate in, the personal vs. group identity that is shown through the general appearance of the skater, and the values and icons that the game teaches players. We are finding that sport video games support learning; we hope to find how one learns about oneself as a learner from playing.
Dual Credit Tool Kit: APAMain body:

Main body example:THE FIRST TELECOMMUNICATIONS POLICY
Once the technology behind the telephone improved enough for widespread use, there were
many carriers to choose from in Canada. In 1905, there were 83 independent telephone
companies operating in Canada. The issue was service between Bell and the independents.
Indeed entry by independents gave rise to a flurry of anticompetitive activity on the
part of Bell, carefully designed to stall and, if possible, reverse growth of the
insurgents. In the case of multiparty rural lines, for example, Bell often granted
urban interconnections but only on condition that Bell be afforded control over all
further connections; sometimes Bell interconnected with one company to eliminate
connections for others, a ploy to put the latter out of business. (Babe, 1988)
To solve this issue, the government brought all telephone companies under the control of the
Board of Railway Commissioners in 1906, giving it power to set prices and contracts.
Dramatic growth followed, but Bell Canada reigned over the hundreds of independents.
