Recruitment of Engineers & Staff

DSS has the ability to recruit the most skilled candidates. Our recruiting process ensures

quality by shortlisting only those candidates who pass the trade test conducted by our

engineers. We have 7 sourcing centers in India. This allows us to deal with the workers

directly and not through sub agents or partners. Dealing directly with workers helps us

eliminate exploitation and gather quality workers as a good worker will never buy a job. .

DSS has a team of 100+ recruiters dedicated towards recruitment of Engineers, Admin and

HR category candidates. DSS has a database in its own for engineers and also maintains links

with 95% of candidates deployed by us. A very high percentage of our selection takes place

through our network. DSS also maintains its own portals. Candidates are presented to the

client after intensive interviews.

Skill Up-Gradation Services

DSS runs its own skill up-gradation facilities where Food, Accommodation and Medical are

provided to candidates in a camp like environment where strict discipline is maintained.

DSS has 4 skill up-gradation centers. The flagship center in New Delhi has over 120, 000 sq

feet that can accommodate 500 candidates at one time. Our centers are equipped with

state of the art construction systems and processes that are used in the Middle East. This

service is extended only to those candidates who already have skills.

After a candidate is selected by the client, he is invited into our skill up-gradation

center. Here we focus on safety induction, productivity and familiarity with modern

tools and equipment.

This service is unique to DSS and not offered by any other recruiting agent.

Our Process

Demand Received

Once a demand is received, an engineer is assigned from the same vertical to look after

the demand. We allocate an engineer so that we can technically better understand the

requirements of the project site. This empowers us to select better quality candidates.

Necessary documents such as POA, EA and Demand order will be requested at this stage.

Our engineer will then present a project plan to the client to ensure timely recruitment.

Short-listing2Through our database, network, brand image and advertising, we accumulate

candidates for our clients. We have on board 25 full time engineers who are responsible

for conducting a 30-45 minute trade test for tradesman. Engineers are shortlisted after

an extensive interview. Only the candidates who pass our strict testing procedures are

invited for client interviews. Our goal is to only present candidates who match the

client's job requirements. This process generally takes about two weeks. During this

period the client is informed of the recruitment location.

Selection3Once the shortlisting is complete the client is invited to visit our trade testing centers

for the selection. Only short-listed candidates are presented to ensure high selection

rate. Though DSS is well equipped with all necessary tools required for tests and

interviews, we request client s to inform us in advance if any unique tool or equipment

such as crane etc. may be required for the test. This is because we want our client to

conduct accurate tests so that only those candidates who will add value to the project

are selected.

Documentation

Post the client selection, the documentation process starts. DSS does all documentation

work in house. DSS maintains excellent relationships in all embassies and is therefore

able to get documents attested/stamped in a timely manner. Our relationship of 34

years with most embassies stands us in a good state.

Dispatch

After 12 days of successful skill up-gradation training we dispatch candidates to the

project site.

Skill Up-gradation

In India, most skilled candidates learn their trade from elders in their family. They have

not received formal education and many have not worked overseas before. Once the

candidate is selected by our client, we ask him to report to our institute 12 days before

departure to the project site. DSS is the only company to run its own Skill Up-gradation

centers (Over 120, 000 sq feet) where each candidate is made “ Site-Ready” over a 15

days program, in a camp like environment, where food and accommodation are

provided free of cost. Being Site-Ready involves the following:

Knowledge: Candidates are given knowledge about the country where they are being

mobilized. They are familiarized with local labor laws, camp rules and guidelines as

well as Gulf work culture.

Productivity: All candidates must be well aware of tool & equipment being used in the

Middle East and are taught to work more efficiently and effectively. All candidates are

expected to achieve certain productivity levels.

Attitude and Aptitude: Over the course of 10-15 days, our staff also keeps an eye on the

attitude and aptitude of candidate. It's important for each candidate to have certain

qualities that ensure his success on the project site besides their work skill.

Safety: Safety is a big area of focus. A large amount of time is invested in Safety

training. WE first start by explaining the importance of safety and follow it up with

demonstrations on how to keep safe on the site.
