If LCDDisplay is damaged or liquid flows out, please do not

4 GeneralOperationandUserNotes4.1 OperationCriterion

TestInterface

Please connect test linewith the instrument interface, then

connectwiththetestedcircuit;Pleasedonottouchthebaremetal

partsofthetestniptopreventfromelectricshockifhighvoltagein

circuit.

USBInterface

PleasedonotjoinelectricequipmentintoUSBinterface,anddonotshortcircuitinterfacewithmetals,otherwisetheinner

circuitwillbedestroyed.

Display

Pleasetearoutprotectivefilmenclosedfordeliverybefore

usinginstrument.

Cleaning

The instrument cover, mainly made of plastics, should becleanedbysoftdrycloth, remembernot tousevolatilechemicals.

BatteryMaintenance

Whentheinstrumentwillnotbeusedforalongtime,the

batterywilldeteriorateandbatteryshouldbechargedforalongtime.Ifittakesshorttimetochargeandsustainforashorttime,the

batteryshouldbereplaced.

Malfunction

Ifthereareabnormalsound,smellorsmog,pleaseshutdown

machineandunplugthepowerline,andremembertocontactDADI

4.2 UserNotes

For the first time to use it, please fully charge instrument before

using, and make sure full charge before using each time. Please

refertoclause7.10tochargeinstrument.

PleasetouchmildlytheLCDdisplaywhenusingstylusandavoid

damage.

If there appears abnormal page or system frozen in the

operationprocess,pleasereboottheinstrument.

Pleasedonotput instrument in the sunornearheat source,

otherwiseitwillhavenegativeinfluenceoncircuitandcoverofthe

instrument.

Condensationmayoccur if the instrument ismoved tohigher

temperature place or temperature variable place. Under this

circumstance,itwouldbebetterfortheinstrumenttoadapttothe

temperatureformorethanonehourbeforeusing.

Fromlefttorightare:powerindicator,warningindicator,LAN

Linkindicator,ModempowerindicatorandxDSLLinkindicator.

Specificationsareasfollows:

Power Indicator: If red lighter is always on, it suggests the

instrumentisswitchedon.

WarningIndicator:whengreenlighterison,itsuggestsalarming

LAN Link Indicator: if green lighter is always on, it suggests

Onoff Key: Power on or off. Press the key to open the

TheinstrumentisconnectedtotheleadofxDSLsubscriberline,

oneendoftheleadispluggedintosocketoftheinstrument,andthe

otherend isconnected into tested line.Whenyouoperate,please

Theequippedcableof instruments iscrossovercable,when it

connectswithbroadband IP cable, it canbedirectly connected to

It connects and tests xDSL line and verifies dialup through

builtinModem.Asan integrated test, it includesADSL2+physical

emulation and Ping test. The Tester can emulate user end

equipment toachievePPPoEdialupandperformanetwork layer

test. Itwillacquirethephysical layerparametersofthe linked line

and verify the line quality. This function is helpful to verify thesubscriber lineandsolveproblemsresultedfromausermodemor

PCproblem.

HowtoUse

ConnectoneendofthexDSLtestcabletotheRJ11portofthe

unitandtheotherendtothelinepairtobetested. Pressthe

Modify the relevant test parameters of xDSL, including the

When you need to modify the relevant parameters of xDSL,

click on the DSL parameters setting icon, enter into DSL

parameterssettinginterfaceasfollows:

ModifyVPI/VCI

Upper part shows VPI/VCI settings, the instrument supports

fourpresetsofVPI/VCIparameters. (In this fourpresets, IPTV is

only bridge mode, can not use for PPP dial up by tester.) For

modifications,please inputVPI/VCIvalueagain,and thenclick the

Modify button below, after 2 seconds the system prompts

"configurationhasbeenchanged,effectiveafterreboot!Madesure

thatyouwant tosave theconfigurationand restart theModem?",

selectOKtocompletetheVPI/VCIvaluemodification.

Modifytheparametersthreshold

The lower part shows parameters threshold settings, the

instrument

will

display

the

previous

threshold

value.

For

modifications, please input the parameter threshold value again,

andthenclickOKbuttonbelow.

7.3.3 ModemEmulationFunctionsIntroduction

ItisusedintheemulationuserModem,whichcanreplacethe

users Modem and verifies whether there is problem for user

Modem.

instrumentisintheADSL2+Modememulationstate.

Theseoptionsareusedtosetupprotocol,encapsulationand

detailedIPaddresses.YoucanselectPPPoEforPPPoEdailuptest

(RFC2516),IPoEforDHCPorStaticIPmodetest(RFC2684).

buttontogetIP.

StaticIPmode:ChecktheStaticIPboxandconfiguredetailed

After thedialup isconnected, return to theprior interface to

check on the acquired IP address, default gateway and DNS

addressesbyclickingontheIPOptionsparametersicon.

The systemwillautomatically save thePasswordof the three
