NET 422 Final Project

In groups of two to four students, you will make a small DS using one of the following:

An Ethernet cable to connect two devices. A Hub to connect more than two devices. A router to connect more than two devices wirelessly.

After making a network, test your network by sharing resources such as adding a printer or scanner and try to use it by each device in your network.

The last part in your project is to choose one of the main architectural models:

1- Client-server2- Peer-to-peer

In peer-to-peer communication download one of the following programs and describe the following:

1- The main function of the program2- The fetchers3- The interface

Each group should choose on program and no more than two groups can choose the same program.

Peer-to-peer programs:

1- Shareaza 2- Ares Galaxy 3- WinMX 4- Gnutella 5- Overnet

There is one bonus if you choose a client-server model which has been described in the power point file.

Document your work in a report with the following format:

The paper must have cover page with the names of the group members and sections.The font needs to be Times New Roman with size 12.Spacing line is 2.Table of content should be in the beginning.The reference will be at the end.

Finally, prepare yourself for the discussion by making a power point file which has been discussed in the tutorial and come with your group to discuss you project.
