BACHATABachata is a style of social dance that originated in the Dominican Republic and has grown in popularity around the world. In this workshop we will warm up with the basic elements and fundamentals of footwork and style. Then utilizing your new steps, we will learn how to Bachata dance with a partner. This class will improve your lead and follow, and increase footwork and pattern knowledge. Taught by Adam Phillips and Aubrey Griffith-Zill. AFROCUBAN DANCEThis class offers a rich taste of authentic Afrocuban culture and provides an amazing full body workout! You will learn songs, rhythms, and dances of the Traditional Afro-Cuban Folklore. Marisol Blanco, Master Teacher, is a professional dancer, teaches Afro-Cuban Folkloric and Popular Dance, as well as, other forms of traditional dance from around the world. saturday 12:45pm dance tent
CHIKAMOVESThis will inspire you to get up and get moving! Instructor, Nkachika has studied West African rhythms and dance for almost 20 years and has taught adults, children and teens for over 13 years. SALSAIn this workshop you will be introduced to a variety of Latin movements and rhythms. We’ll warm-up by grounding our energy while shifting into the heart & soul of Latin dancing, generating a vibrant and playful environment. The focal point of this workshop is salsa dancing with an emphasis on rhythm, footwork, timing, and connection with partner. DIDgERIDOO wITH JARED BISTRONgA Miami native, Jared Bistrong has been making, playing, and teaching the Didgeridoo since the mid 1990’s. As a college writing professor, storyteller, musician and multimedia artist, Jared uses the Didgeridoo as an educational tool, a musical instrument and a means of Sound Healing. THE FLORIDA SCHOOL OF HOLISTIC L IV INg will be on-site offering herbalism workshops, information about involvement in South Florida’s growing plant-medicine community, foraging and botanical education! pEACE EDUCATION wORKSHOp The Global Peace Initiative will host a discussion about peace as a conscious practice, discuss community peace actions and show a short film about the work of peace leader Prem Rawat. pERMACULTURE pLANTINg wITH EARTH LEARNINg This workshop invites attendees to plant a mix of edible and landscape plants around a structure at the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. Learn how to assess a site and implement a dynamic planting, which provides food as well as complimentary foliage! ELECTRIC CAR CHARgINg STATION Crown Electric will be on-site with an electric car and charging station demonstrating the ease and sustainable practices that make non-fossil fuel vehicles the wave of the future!
BREw BEER Check out The Dude Brews, as he brews a batch of beer on site! Aspiring home-brewers, beer aficionados, and curious minds are welcome to watch and participate in this process. The Dude will be narrating each step of the process, so that participants can leave armed with the knowledge needed to start making beers of their own!

All artwork will be available for purchase on-site at the festival upon completion. A portion of sales will benefit the Little Haiti Mural Project, a local arts non-profit aimed at maintaining the spirit of the Little Haiti community while beautifying its streets.
