General Information

Purpose of the RFP
• The purpose of this RFP is to select a vendor that can satisfy the State’s need for Drug Testing Services.
• It is the intent of Department of Workforce Development (DWD) to contract with a vendor that provides quality Drug Testing Services.
Scope of RFP
• Vendor shall be responsible for collecting urine samples to test for substance abuse from DWD Clients.
• Vendor must have or utilize a SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) certified laboratory.
• The State estimates a cost of $74.00 per test, and we expect to do approximately 6,000 tests per year. – This rate will be used as the State’s baseline figure in evaluating
cost proposals. – The State is not in a position to guarantee future estimates of the
number of tests per year.
