Afternoon Drone EXPO & Evening Drone Race at Biosphere 2! The Drone Racing League (DRL) is the world’s first professional drone racing circuit and a leader

in the fast-growing industry. DRL prides itself on having immersive 3D courses in unusual locations. DRL produces a global series of races with pilots from across the world. Races are

televised by networks like ESPN and watched by 30 million people around the world!

Biosphere 2 is a truly unique venue for highlighting how drones are being used today in the many facets of our daily lives, and in the scientific community. Especially relevant to Biosphere 2 are the multiple Earth Systems Science applications (post fire assessment, hurricane analysis,

remote surveying, etc.). UA Biosphere 2 and DRL will bring together a wide variety of UA programs, as well as local teachers, students, and the public. Drones are the product of STEM

innovation, and are used in many STEM fields.

DRL will film the race at Biosphere 2 the evening of March 24, 2018. During the afternoon, scientists, educators, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts will be on-site with family-friendly hands-

on activities for a day of science, education, and exploration!
