Building A Better Future

Saving Lives

Presented by: Shana and Peter Whitmarsh

OUR MISSIONTo Save Lives By Keeping Flight Paths Clear

For Aircraft and Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS)

THE PROBLEM

3

Small UAVs (drones) flying near aircraft are a serious aviation safety hazard. They can also be weaponized and used by terrorists.

• Aircraft and air-traffic control can’t detect them. There were 900 near-miss incidents between August 2015 and April 2016. There has been one collision, more are imminent.

• The FAA Part 107 Ruling relaxes certification requirements to fly recreationally and commercially enabling up to 650,000 unsecured drones to fly in our national airspace by the end of 2016, significantly increasing the risk of mid-air collisions with aircraft, catastrophic plane crashes, loss of life and collateral damage.

• Terrorists can weaponize small drones to maximize loss of life and collateral damage.

4

CURRENT SOLUTIONS

There is no single system that can protect and defend against rogue drones.

• No comprehensive detection, collision avoidance or takedown systems are available. None are available for use by aircraft, where the need is the most urgent.

• The only takedown countermeasures available are for use within line of site.

• Less than 100-meter terrestrial detection systems, mostly RF which is dangerous.

• No detection for weapons, bio-agents, chemicals, firearms or explosives.

• Current aircraft radar cannot detect small drones at any range. They are only seen by pilots when they are within line of sight.

5

OUR SOLUTION

Patent-Pending Drone Aviation Radar™ (DAR): Saves lives and allows small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS, drones) and aircraft to fly safely together:

• Lightweight, easy to install drone detection, anti-collision control system for all aircraft.

• Prevents mid-air collisions with small drones – creates aircraft safe zones by keeping small drones out of aircraft flight paths.

• Fits within existing aircraft radar systems.

• Detects flying stealth objects as small as birds from up to 10 miles away.

• Uses AI, no human intervention or controllers. Does not use RF.

• Available and customizable for all aircraft models.

• Uses patent-pending Drone Defense System™ (DDS™) Core Technology Suite.

6

Patent Pending Drone Aviation Radar™ (DAR™) - How we’ll prevent another 9/11:

• Intercept – Acquire – Control sUAS/Drones to keep airspace clear for safe flight.

• DAR™ can detect and ID drones, and intercept them from as far as 10 miles away via Wi-Fi CS1 Sensors, Sensor Arrays, special algorithms and Satellite Systems. The system can be used on passenger jets and other aircraft.

• Built upon the patent-pending Drone Defense System™ (DDS) core technologies for land sea and air applications.

• DAR™ tracks, tags, traces, IDs, reports, transmits, assigns status, and determines actions: deter, take-down, control and redirect to a safe zone; contain or Return To Sender™ and document/notify airspace owner, law enforcement and other entities.

• DAR™ can be installed at stationary locations, it works with existing infrastructure and it’s scalable.

OUR SOLUTION

7

DAR™ will be integrated into all current and future Radar Systems via an API or installed in Aircraft System avionics as an independent apparatus.

TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS

• DAR™ creates aircraft flight path safe

zones at 1 mile, 3 miles, and 10 mile

sensor pickets.

• DAR™ creates “Clearspace-1” highest

safety level of airspace that is clear

(No Drones) for the aircraft to fly through.

• Can implement more stringent

countermeasures.

• Works via AI – no human controllers, does

not use RF.

EAGLE DAR™ SIMULATOR APPEagle DAR Simulator App for iOS, Android and Desktop • 350,000 registered aircraft, and future aircraft must be fitted with DAR™.

Our App streamlines the selection, specification and customization process for aircraft manufacturers.

• Simulations show what occurs when different types of Aircraft collide with Drones by demonstrating the effects in scenarios that users select.

• Manufacturers can select and customize their DAR™ system in the app and view the results. They can customize DAR™ to fit their own requirements with the basic DAR™ format that includes the Shield Zone Buffer that creates a protected zone to repel Drones from their “ClearSpace Zone.”

• They can select advanced features including a Virtual Black Box, an Onboard Electronic Detection System or a Satellite Direct Communication to Law Enforcement.

• Upon completing the creation, customization, ordering and sign-off processes in the App the order is sent via e-commerce to one of CSA’s pre-selected Franchise Licensed Avionics Manufacturers to fulfill and install.

MARKET OPPORTUNITIES

Growing market and increasingly crowded airspace = BIG safety and privacy issues:

• According to DOT, there are 6,000 aircraft in flight at any given time.

• By the end of 2016, there will be up to 650,000 commercial and recreational drones.

• There were 900 reported aircraft/drone incidents in the past year. Source: Fortune.com, CNN

• DOT: there are currently 350,000 commercial aircraft to fit with DAR™.

• $1.05 Billion Revenue Opportunity generated by $3,000 per license, per aircraft projected MSRP for DAR™.

• Franchise licenses available for aircraft manufacturers. There’s currently no way for

aircraft to detect or deter drones; pilots have to rely on last-minute evasive maneuvers to avoid them.
