Holiday seasons can be especially dangerous for travel because the roads become so congested.

Do a Safety Check Start by making sure that you understand how you are going to check your car to make sure that

it is proper working order. Your car should be functioning well before you start out on the road

and it is important that you get the car checked with a mechanic if you cannot do it yourself.

Make sure that you have all of the necessary fluids in your car to be able to drive safely. This

means you will want to make sure that you

have windshield wiper fluid and that you have

coolant in your car before you head out.

You will also want to check your oil levels in

your car. If it is time to have your oil

changed, you will want to have that done

before you leave and if you need your oil

done before you get on the road.

After you have checked fluid levels in your

car, you will then want to make sure that your tires, brakes, lights and seatbelts are all in good

working order. These are all necessary components to being able to have a safe trip and spend

time safely on the road.

Know the Rules of Safety When you know that your car is in good working order, you will then want to make sure that you

understand how to drive safely. Once your trip is underway, it is important that the driver is

always aware of his or her surroundings and in a good position to be able to react while driving.

Driving drowsy or driving when you are tired can be very dangerous. While you are driving,

you will want to make sure that you stop any time that you start to get drowsy, this way you can
