Business Excellence Awards 2009 Gala Dinner THE winners of the Singapore Qual- ity Award, People Excellence Award, Innovation Excellence Award and Service Excellence Award were presented with tro- phies at a gala dinner on Nov 4. The Business Excellence Awards are based on an internationally benchmarked framework for busi- ness excellence. These awards are conferred upon the “best of the best” in recognition of their attain- ment of world-class standards of business excellence. Business Excellence Global Conference The conference was held from Nov 3 to 4, with the theme, “Embracing Excellence, Learning from the Best”. It provided some 500 partici- pants with a unique opportunity to get a global perspective on best practices in business excellence from speakers from top business ex- cellence programmes, global award winners and subject experts. Global Excellence Model Council Meeting Singapore hosted the 10th Global Excellence Model (GEM) Council meeting for the first time this year from Nov 2-4. Guardians of the pre- mier business excellence pro- grammes from around the world shared their knowledge and experi- ences, and explored collaboration opportunities at this annual meet- ing.
