Customer Notice The following applies to all rental bookings commencing after 8 th June 2015, for drivers who hold a UK mainland driver licence issued by the DVLA. From June 8 th 2015 the DVLA will stop issuing the counterpart section of your UK driving licence and any existing counterparts will no longer hold any legal status. This means that we can’t use it to check for any endorsements at the branch when you come to collect your vehicle. In order to successfully complete your rental at the branch you must follow all the instructions below before you arrive at the branch. If you do not follow these instructions we may not be able to fulfil your rental booking. 1. Access the DVLA website at https://www.viewdrivingrecord.service.gov.uk/driving- record/licence-number (you will need your driving license number, National Insurance number and postcode to hand). 2. Enter your driving licence and NI number and postcode where indicated 3. Check the consent box and click “View Now”. 4. Click on “Share your licence information”. 5. Click on “create a code”. 6. You may print out the code, or just write it down (but remember, the code is case sensitive) and bring it with you to the Northgate Hire desk. 7. We will then use this code to view your entitlements and endorsements using the latest information from DVLA. The access code is valid only for 72 hours, and usable only once. It means you must generate this code from the DVLA website within 3 days of picking up the vehicle. If you have any questions please contact your local branch.
