Brasserie d'Achouffe £4.70

Founded in 1982 this cheeky gnome branded brewery delivers us some magnificent Belgian beers. La Chouffe Blonde and lightly hoppy 8% Mc Chouffe Dark, fruity with slight bitter notes 8%

Houblon Chouffe An IPA style hop monster 9%

Gouden Carolus Classic 8.5% £4.90 A classic Belgium dark special beer.

Chimay ‘The best known trappist brewery’ this beer is brewed by trappist monks. First brewed in 1861. Blue 9% £5 Cream 8% £4.50 Red 7% £4 Delirium £4.60 The brewery Huyghe is situated in Melle, Belgium and although they produce many different beers the brewery has become synonymous with Delirium in its quizzical grey bottle. Fruli 4.1% £3.50 ‘A strawberry treat from a family brewer from near Gent, Belgium’

Kwak 8.1% £4.20 A deep honey coloured ale brewed by the family-owned Brewery Bosteels in Buggenhout. Look out for the distinctive glass for this one.

Liefmans ‘Liefmans Brewery is rearing its head again. By the end of 2007, the brewery's four centuries of brewing history and expertise were under threat of being lost. Duvel stepped in to rescue this piece of paper wrapped beer heritage’. Cuvee Brut Cherry beer 6% £4.80

Goudenband A dark fruity night cap 8% £5 Gluhkreik Think Christmas market mulled wine 6% £9

Orval 6.9% £3.80 Brewed at the Abbaye Orval this complex Trappist beer has hints of citrus and is their only brew so we know it’s a good one!

Timmermans £3.90

Timmermans is one of a handful of traditional Lambic breweries from the outskirts of Brussels. If you like Liefmans or fruli this range is for you. Raspberry (Framboise) 4% Cherry (Kriek) 4% Peach (Peche) 4% Strawberry (Fraise) 4%

Germany Augustiner £4.50 Brewed in Munich for the last 700 years, these beer are brilliant examples of german brewing. Lagerbier hell 5.2% A true german light coloured lager – clean & crisp

Erdinger Erdinger is the world’s biggest wheat beer brewery, a privately owned company in the heart of Bavaria. Weisse Classic wheat beer 5.3% £4.00

Kristal A clear filtered wheat beer 5.4% £4.30 Dunkel One for the Guinness lovers 5.5% £4.00

Pikantus Its gold label is no coincidence 7.3% £5.40

Alkohol Frei All the taste, no booze <0.5% £2.90 Jever Pilsener 4.9% £3.80 This beer was first brewed in the town of the same name in 1848 and is a light and refreshing alternative to Budvar. Maisel Weisse 5.2% £4.40

Brewed in Germany's beer loving heartland, Bavaria this superb weisse beer is a great alternative to Erdinger or Paulaner.

Paulaner Weisse 5.2% £4.50 Established in the 17th century in Munich this German brewery knows how to make a great weisse beer.

Schlenkerla Rauchbier 5.2% £4.60 Schlenkerla is the name of a famous tavern in the Bavarian town of Bamberg. Rauch is the German for smoke. In the middle of the old part of Bamberg, directly beneath the mighty cathedral, one can find the Historical Brewery Tavern Schlenkerla.

Schlösser Alt 4.8% £3.80 This black lager has the character of a dark beer with a light fizz and the refreshment of a traditional lager.
