COACH CALLS 55

COACH CALLS 63 COACH CALLS 6I4I

COACH = Continue to yell out different numbers. 44I, 43, 64 etc.... Coach has to yell a strong right and strong left so the defensive line knows who has the first number (strong) who has the second number (weak). Coach also needs to flip strength after they align. Start off with a strong right then flip it to strong left.

1.D-line coach will align the defenders on a L.O.S. rope. The coach will explain how the numbering system works. He will put the d-lineman into as many groups as needs be. He will then yell out the alignment numbers the d-line will then move to their alignment. If no rope the coach can spray paint an offensive line.

D - Back has to understand that there is really only 4 routes in this progression. Thes are a 1 to 3 step drops by the quarterback. As the quarterback takes his first three steps the DB must think under routes4 major routes. Hitch, fade, screen, slant.

out and up (wheel)

Push routes are routes that past 10 yards. The quarter will pass his 3 step progression and the DB will get into his backpeddle. The routes the DB is thinking about are post, curl, out, dig, wheel routes.

20

Top routes are routes that go past 10 yards. The DB will now work to stay over the top of these routes. When the Rec goes past 15 we now know all of the double moves are off. Example: Post Corner.

Deep out (rollout)

post

go post corner (center field turn

Anything after 15 we do not worry about double moves
