WORKPLACE WELLNESS PROGRAM

The following list are events that have taken place after launching our workplace wellness

program. Our workplace wellness includes our management team and employee social

committee assisting in promoting our program.

Movember program-13 participants/raised almost $800.00/plaque posted in plant for

recognition of winner of highest funds and winner of King of the Stach.

Corporate KSR Christmas party and plant party –to be eligible for prizes a toy was

brought in to support Ronald MacDonald House charities.

Memo initiated to employees outlining wellness program each month

Schedule of topics established for 2016

Quarterly newsletters for employees to communicate wellness topics

Monthly safety talks with a monthly employee draw (all participate)

Biggest loser challenge-January-March (winner received a Fit bit/lost 19.28% of her start

weight combined total weight loss was 364 lbs).

Postma Fitness Centre provided a corporate wellness package with corporate discounts.

Healthy living promotion with St. Clair BsCN program-blood pressure/glucose

check/healthy eating/ergonomics/stress management/ packages provided /gifts/ free

draw for stress management-estimated that at least 60 people participated.

April 26th-in support of Leukemia-Jersey Day company will donate $5.00 per person,

total of $750.00 was raised.

KSR Intranet now features a wellness link to support monthly topics and provide web

based resources

May was for emergency preparedness-all employees received a booklet from CK for

“SUMMER SMART”, handbook for a safer summer

June 6th Environmental Clean up day-property cleanup with management and employees

June 18th Canada’s Wonderland Trip(1 bus)

July 9th, Jays vs Tigers in Toronto(2 buses)

July 23rd Ridgetown Howard Community Pool and BBQ for all employees and family
