‘Dreams of Death’ Poster Analysis

The use of faded images on the main actor’s head whilst he is sleeping show the viewers of the poster that he is seeing these visions in his dreams, thus why the movie is called ‘Dreams of Death’.

I have given the poster a ‘Glass’ effect on Adobe Photoshop. The use of this effect on my poster is that it makes the entire image look hazy, and not everything is as it seems in the trailer.

The inclusion of the film title, release date and website address is always crucial to include in any movie’s trailer. This informs the viewers of the poster what the film is, when it is released, and what website they can visit to gain more information about the movie.

The inclusion of a slogan on the poster can potentially be as important as the title of the film. The slogan of my trailer ‘You don’t want to be this teacher’s pet…’ indicates that a teacher is involved in the film in some way, and that the teacher is possibly the villain of the film.
