Dreambox Learning Dear Parents, This year San Jose Unified has licensed a new interactive learning software from Dreambox Learning. Dreambox is a differentiated math instruction on line learning environment tailored to meet the needs of every student. The Dreambox truly adaptive online learning environment ensures that every student works in their optimal learning zone. Every student is required to spend a minimum of 60 minutes per week on Dreambox. The 60 minutes can be broken up into15 minute sessions, or a couple of longer sessions. Please keep in mind that young learners do not have the attention to sit and do something for 60 minutes at a time. We recommend breaking the on-line sessions into at least two 30 minutes sessions a week. Can you do more than 60 minutes per week? Absolutely. Again 60 minutes is the minimum amount of time required each week by the school district. Your student’s teacher and the school district will closely monitor your student’s usage of Dreambox. Again, using Dreambox is required. Your student should start using Dreambox the week of September 24 th . Getting started on Dreambox is easy. Just follow the steps below. 1. Log onto the Williams Website. www.sjusd.org/williams 2. Click on Dreambox Link on the left hand side. 3. Scroll down until you see your child’s teacher name (Murtha, Leonard, Lamy, or Ereno). Click on your class circle. 4. Find your student’s name. Click on your student’s circle. 5. Choose a picture to be your password. Remember your child’s password picture.
