T asks Ss about the 2 people from the pictures (David Beckham who was a member of the Engalnd footbal team in the 1998 World Cup, and its captain in the 2002 Worl Cup) and his wife Victoria (’Posh Spice’) Beckham who eas a singer for the pop group The Spice Girls in the 1990s.

Ss read the sentences extracted from the text very carefully

Ss read the whole text paying attention to details

Ss fill in the rest of the sentences(ex4/36)

T checks their answers

Ss look at ex 6/37 and try to match the definitions of words checking with the article as well. Two of the sentences are not correct
