Remarks The building slab was placed in March/April 2018. The plumbing rough-in for the courtyard and duct fabrication throughout the building are complete. The new roof system has been installed except for gravel wearing layer. Framing for exterior soffits is underway, and drywall installation and glazing installation are scheduled for April 2018.

Project Name Innovation Center Station Parking Garage

Project Description An approximately 2,072-space parking structure with bus bays, a Kiss & Ride, and a pedestrian connection for Metro Silver Line-Phase 2. Located at 2345 Innovation Center, Herndon, VA.

Remarks The installation of garage foundation piers is nearly complete, and Stair A foundations are in progress. Pre-cast installation began on 4/9/18 and a temporary closure on Magna Way was coordinated with the community for phase 1 installation. Dominion Virginia Power coordination for installation of utility ductbank is ongoing. The construction is approximately 37% complete.

Coordination on the Common Infrastructure continues on construction activities and the resolution of costs and infrastructure construction agreement issues.

Remarks Gauthier, Alvarado & Associates was authorized to proceed with Phase II A/E services on 2/23/18. A meeting was held on 3/5/18, with zoning

and a 2232 submission is required for the three project sites. Site plan submissions and 50% Construction Documents are scheduled for 5/18,

for the CMF and DMF sites. MSMD is continuing to review the Lake Fairfax project site.

completed by 4/30/18. Interior partition framing is currently underway. M/E/P rough-in is ongoing.

Remarks CDM is utilizing Booth & Associates to prepare the plan & specs for the Carderock overhead power line repairs. The National Park Service

reviewed a rendering of a proposed open enclosure for the Carderock Odor Control. Site work for Scotts Run Odor Control began the week of

4/9/18. Project schedule is being adjusted based on Wastewater Collection Divisions requested changes to scope.

Project Description Rehabilitation of a 2,200 LF 6" diameter sanitary sewer force main will involve a cured in place pipe liner.

Remarks Homeowner and Board of Supervisors notifications were sent out 2/8/18. Survey and SAM field work is complete as of 4/13/18. Negotiations are underway with Rummel, Klepper & Kahl, LLP for the design.

Project Description Rehabilitation of a 1,080 LF 6" diameter sanitary sewer force main located in The Merrywood on the Potomac Community in McLean, Virginia.

Remarks Flippo started construction on 4/10/18 and they are at around 30% complete by the end of the April. The construction should be completed in June 2018.

Carderock Gravity Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Rehab

Project Description A study of the Carderock Gravity sewer including flow monitoring, modeling, condition assessment, and evaluation with improvement alternatives.


Pre-Design Current Status



Remarks Video inspection work has been completed. Flow meter installation will be completed in early May 2018. Potential rehabilitation methods are being discussed for the purposes of developing alternatives for the final report.
