  • Hi Dragonheart Members,

I've been wondering a lot about how you are doing. It's hard to know given how many of us there are and that we're not in touch. I've been particularly wondering how many of us are out of work and have no source of income currently and what other needs club members may have. This is weighing on me. One of the things I love about our club is how we show up for each other in times of need. This is one of those times. When I was out of work several years ago, club members donated money to me to help me through. I was blown away and deeply grateful. Now it's my turn to repay this kindness & generosity.

Since Bonnie & I are both fortunate enough to still be working right now, we have decided to give our relief check to others in our lives who can really use it and for whom it will make a difference. I am wondering if you're one of those people and if you'd be willing to let me know if you are. I will absolutely keep this confidential if you would like me to. I'm also wondering if you have other kinds of needs and can use help, if you'd be willing to let me know that too. My final wondering is if there is anyone else who is in a similar situation to us and would like to join us to help out other club members financially or if you're willing to help other club members in other ways. If you are willing to help financially, I can also keep this confidential if you would like.

To me the important thing is that we're here for each other and that we know what each other needs. Many, if not all of us, are facing challenges we've never had before in our lives. We also have a tremendous capacity to give - we've seen this in each other. For me, this is what our club is all about. Thank you for considering both letting me know if you can help out and if you'd like help of any kind, including financial. I don't want anyone to suffer in silence when we can be here for each other. While I truly love paddling, Dragonheart is about more than paddling for me.

    With love,Lisa [email protected]
