Storage HousesGraduate Thesis 2009-2010

The thesis Storage Houses grew out of a body of research exploring the assigned market driven typology of self storage. Storage Hous-es attempts to reign in the super-sized Ameri-can suburban model back to the square foot-age of the pre-consumerism 1940’s home. The prototypical homes are to incorporate while incorporating the amount of storage de�ined by the storage industry. Storage and service related functions de�ine a “new” poche which informs the spatial arrangement of the home. The result is highly programmed functional space within the “poche” and highly �lexible living space. Storage House 1 and Storage House 2 are featured here.

Wrentham HouseUtile Design Inc. 2010

The Wrentham House is a single family resi-dence in Wrentham, MA. The home was to ac-commodate a in-home of�ice for both adults and play space for one child. The project be-came a modular proposal midway through design development Full documentation and modeling were assembled within Revit and modi�ications were completed quickly and ef-�iciently.

Project remains unbuilt.

Marine Road Utile Design Inc. 2011-2012

The project included the substantial remodel of a multi-family residence in south Boston, MA. A retired couple purchased property in their childhood neighborhood. Th duplex required a full gut. The �irst �loor unit would be used as an income rental. Utile Design Inc. was hired for schematic design through con-struction administration.

Harbor HotelUtile Design Inc. 2010 - 2011

Utile Design Inc. was hired to convert the 1960’ Cape Inn motel into a boutique hotel in Provincetown, MA. The project included a hotel bar and resturant, pool bar, signage, guest rooms, furniture de-sign and interiors.

The project was completed in 2011.

Scraggy NeckPersonal Design Work 2013

The project included an addition to a traditional cape style single family in Pocasset Bourne, MA. The addition is to accommodate a new living room, mud-room, two car garage, deck and entry porch. The second level houses the mas-ter suite, and a seating room.

The project is scheduled to begin con-struction summer 2013.

As project manager for Broderick Build-ing & Remodeling Jessie managed the construction of seven residential proj-ects in Cape Cod Massachusetts. Four of which are featured here.
