Learning is Scaffolded and Sequential. Every student goes through the process, at their own pace.

Speedy Decoding / Reading - 15 Minutes.At their Code Level as well opportunities to use this technique with ‘real’ books (high interest) outside of their Code Level.

The Speedy Six Spelling - 40 – 50 Minutes.As a whole class. This is inquiry based learning, and includes activities to also develop working memory, verbal intelligence, grammar and punctuation skills. The teacher includes things she identified from Writing Activities the previous day, to consolidate and reinforce.

Writing for a Purpose - 20 – 30 Minutes.Rapid Writing - 5 Minutes.Alternates Daily with Cracking Comprehension - 40 – 50 Minutes.(This can include Snap and Crack)

Speech Sound Pic Detectives - Once A Week.Students explore the code as Speech Sound Pic Detectives eg with product boxes, environmental print.

Frog Antics This is a quick fire Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation Activity.Students have to identify what the Frog has changed, and make it right.

Wiring Brains for Code Mapping Videos - 10-15 Minutes.4 Levels at 4 stations using laptops, tablets and splitters.

Coding Poster - Around 2 Minutes Per Activity.As a whole class, this is a fast paced, explicit and systematic way for all to complete the same PA and Phonics focused tasks, but at their SSP Code level, and at their pace.
