Simpozij nastavlja tradiciju prethodnih i obrađuje aktualne teme vezane uz vođenje elektroenergetskog sustava te organizaciju tržišta električnom energijom. Ove godine naglasak je stavljen na primjenu naprednih tehnologija u funkciji vođenja EES-a te utjecaj energetske politike Europske unije na Republiku Hrvatsku. Cilj je ovog skupa omogućiti razmjenu znanja i stečenih iskustava između operatora sustava, proizvođača, tržišnih sudionika, operatora tržišta, konzultanata, znanstvenih i obrazovnih ustanova, ministarstava i regulatornih agencija. Rad Simpozija bit će podijeljen u dvije krovne teme:

Energetske politike EU i RH Za obje teme predviđen je po jedan uvodni pozvani referat. Vaš doprinos ovom Simpoziju očekujemo u vidu prijavljenih referata i rasprava. Preferencijalne teme za svaku od navedenih krovnih tema date su u nastavku ovog poziva. U okviru Simpozija održat će se i okrugli stol na temu Procjena učinaka integracije obnovljivih izvora u elektroenergetski sustav Republike Hrvatske. Svi zainteresirani moći će za vrijeme održavanja Simpozija organizirati izložbe, promotivna izlaganja i stručne prezentacije. Invitation It is our great pleasure to announce and invite you to the 12

th Symposium on Power System Management which

will take place in Split between 14th and 16

th of November 2016. The Symposium continues a tradition of

previous ones and deals with state of the art issues referring to power system management and organization of the electricity market. This year the emphasis is placed on the application of advanced technologies in power system operation and control as well as on impact of energy policy of the EU on the Republic of Croatia. The aim of this symposium is to enable the exchange of knowledge and experience acquired among system operators, manufacturers, market participants, market operators, consultants, academic and educational institutions, ministries and regulatory agencies. The Symposium will be divided into two main topics:

EU and Croatian energy policies For each topic one invited paper is envisaged. Your contribution to this symposium is expected in terms of registered papers and discussions. Preferential topics for each of the main topics are given later in this invitation.

As part of the Symposium, a roundtable will be held on Impact assessment of the integration of renewable energy sources in the Croatian electric power system. During the symposium, all interested parties can organize exhibitions, promotional lectures and professional presentations. O Splitu/About city of Split Punih 17 stoljeća traje priča o Splitu, još otkako je rimski car Dioklecijan odlučio baš na tom poluotoku blizu velikog rimskog grada Salone izgraditi palaču u kojoj bi u miru proveo posljednje godine svoga života. U tih 1700 godina Palača je polako postajala i postala grad, koji danas mami bogatom tradicijom, veličanstvenom poviješću, ljepotom prirodne i kulturne baštine. Dioklecijanova palača i cijela povijesna jezgra Splita na spisku su svjetske baštine UNESCO - a još od 1979., i to ne samo zbog izvanredne očuvanosti same Palače, nego bar jednako zbog toga što Palača i njezin grad (ili grad i njegova Palača, kako vam drago) i dalje žive punim životom. U toj strukturi vidljivi su i još uvijek živi svi povijesni slojevi od starog Rima, preko srednjeg vijeka do danas. Šetnjom kroz drevni grad moguće je putovati kroz vrijeme, promatrati vrhunske primjere antičke arhitekture poput Peristila, srednjovjekovne romaničke crkvice i gotičke palače, renesansne portale plemićkih kuća, barokne fasade, sve do moderne arhitekture izvanredno uklopljene u bogatu baštinu. Takva slojevitost odražava se i u svakodnevnom životu Splita. Lokalni stanovnici sjede u istim kafićima, restoranima i kupuju u istim trgovinama s turistima, dajući im dojam da su dolaskom u Split postali sastavnim dijelom grada i njegovog ritma. Tržnica i ribarnica u centru su života svake splitske obitelji, kao što se cijeli društveni život grada od 200 tisuća stanovnika ogleda na njegovoj Rivi, gdje će svaki gost koji drži do sebe popiti kavu sjedeći do bučnih, temperamentnih Splićana. Split je mnogo više od veličanstvene arhitektonske kulise. The story of Split is already 17 centuries old, dating to the time the Roman Emperor Diocletian decided to build his Palace right on the peninsula near the great Roman city Salona, where he wanted to spend the last years of his life. During these 1700 years the Palace slowly turned into a city, which to this day lures with its rich tradition, glorious history and beauty of its natural and cultural heritage. Diocletian Palace and the entire historical core of Split have been on the World Heritage UNESCO list ever since 1979, and not only for the extraordinary preservation of the Palace, but also because the Palace and its city (or the city and its Palace, if you like) continue to live a full life. All historical layers from the old Rome, middle ages till today are still visible and alive in this structure.
