I am happy to provide this recommendation, because I have the highest regard for Mrs. Teofilak. She worked from 1991-2008 for the Hagley Museum and Library, essentially functioning as a sort of office manager in what was called the Business Office (her official title was Payroll/Accounting Specialist). The Business Office was a three-person office, and Mrs. Teofilak reported to the Business Manager, who reported to me (I was the institution's executive director from the time of Mrs. Teofilak's arrival in 1991 until I retired in 2002 and moved to New Mexico.) For employees and vendors, Mrs. Teofilak was the person in the Business Office with whom they had principal contact. Hagley had approximately ninety full-time and seventy part-time employees. During the ten years that we overlapped, I had many contacts with Mrs. Teofilak. In addition, I conferred with the Business Manager about her performance in connection with salary reviews. She always received the highest performance ratings. I can say with assurance that everyone who came in contact with her was impressed with her positive, supportive attitude and her high level of competence. She was among our most valued employees. Her job required an extraordinary level of accuracy, and a commitment to discretion and probity. At all times, she met those demands of the job in every respect. Her cheerful disposition was an added benefit. She was both respected and liked. I feel sure that any prospective employer could count on excellence from Mrs. Teofilak. She is a skilled and dedicated worker, and a woman of strong character. She left Hagley's employ in 2008 to act as caregiver for her ailing father, who passed away late last year. She is now ready to rejoin the paid workforce, and I recommend her without reservation. Sincerely, Glenn Porter Director Emeritus Hagley Museum and Library

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is in support of Margaret (Peggy) Teofilak's search for employment.
