Peripheral Nerve Blocks and Regional anaesthesia are very popular in operative anaesthesia and in Acute pain management.
Some Hospitals have little knowledge of how they are performing in regard to both safety and effectiveness.
• Follow-up of patients after peripheral nerve blocks improves professional satisfaction and own practice reflection.
• It may also change the Surgical colleagues perception of regional blocks.
• Post procedure Follow-up systems improve the quality of patient care.
The Aim of the Survey is to know the peripheral nerve block follow-up systems in North East hospitals.
• Questionnaire was sent to all lead regional anaesthesia consultants in North East Hospitals.
• All 10 hospitals in North East were included.
• Good response rate of 90%
