I teach Microsoft courses, Accounting, and Computer Science Principles.

This is my 12th year teaching and third year at THS!!

I graduated from Athens High School.I received my Bachelor of Business

Administration from Athens State University.

I received my Master of Business Administration from Alabama A & M University.

I received my Doctorate of Business Administration from Argosy University.

I am a big Alabama Football fan! ROLL TIDE!!

I love to shop and spend time with family!!

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Students in Microsoft IT Academy benefit from world-

class Microsoft curriculum and software tools to tackle real-world challenges in the classroom environment. In the first part, students will learn to use the newest version of Microsoft Word interface, commands, and features to create, enhance, customize, share and create complex documents, and publish them. In the second part, students will learn to use the newest version of Microsoft PowerPoint interface, commands, and features to create, enhance, customize, and deliver presentations. English language arts are reinforced. Work-based learning strategies appropriate for this course include cooperative education, internship, service learning, and job shadowing. This course can help prepare students for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) in Word and/or PowerPoint.

This course is designed to help prepare students for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) in Word and PowerPoint. Students will be responsible for completing challenging real-world projects and assignments typical to the business world.

When you come to class every day, be seated and logged in to the computer when the bell rings.

Follow class rules for electronic/cell phone usage.

Always follow THS and Alabaster City Schools rules pertaining to behavior, dress code, make-up work, attendance, etc.

Class I violations will be handled with a warning, followed by a phone call to parents, loss of classroom privileges, seat assignment or discipline assignments.

Any student committing a Class II, III or IV offense will be sent immediately to the office and parents will be contacted.

In other words, know the expectations for my class, follow them, and we’ll all get along just fine
