The layout of my double page spread shows, the main image taking up the size of one page and a quarter of the next, then the interview taking up the rest of the space. After doing extensive research, I found that this was a very common and popular layout.

One of the inspiration I got from the magazine on the left was the blood on the artist’s face and hands.I thought that the blood went very well with the theme as my artists name is ‘bloody Mary’, I also thoughtthat the blood made it more dramatic, this also correlates with the artist and the interview.Another feature that I got from the magazine on the left was the graphic at the top of the page. I decided To change it and make it my own by having a blood graphic and instead of having it focused in one area Like the other magazine, I had my graphic spread across the top.

I decided to have the interview separated into two columns on the right hand side of the double page spread.Some of the writing on the double page spread is curved around the image of my artist as I thought that this would make it look more professional instead of putting the writing over the image and changing the text colour to make it visible.
