A private corporate event must be reserved two months prior to the event date. However, due to facility rental popularity, the sooner a reservation can be made the more likely the space will be available. Rental spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Example private corporate event ideas:• Host a private function in the Imperial Centre Theatre Lobby & Patio during a Downtown Live! event.

• Host a private exclusive event inside the beautiful arts center before or after Downtown Live! or Winter Wonderland.

• Include the entire family by hosting a private event inside the Children’s Museum and Science Center, including the Cummins Planetarium, either during or after Lawn Chair Theatre.

• Host a corporate event in a private tent and/or area for your corporate function during the Eastern Carolina BBQ Throw Down or the Juneteenth Community Empowerment Festival.

• Host a corporate team building event! We offer various kinds of programs such as pottery classes, scavenger hunts, canoe trips and much more! (We provide instructors and equipment at no cost to you. These programs are subject to availability.)
