Psalm 73

Jer.12 v.1 “You are always righteous, O Lord, when I bring a case before you.

Yet I would speak with you about your justice:

Why does the way of the wicked prosper?

Why do all the faithless live at ease?”

Financial fraud

Psalm 73 v.4 “They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong.

v.5 They are free from the burdens common to man; they are not plagued by human ills.

v.8 They scoff, and speak with malice, in their arrogance they threaten oppression.

v.12 This is what the wicked are like – always carefree, they increase wealth.”

v.16 “When I tried to understand all this it was oppressive to me.”

V17 “till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny.”

Rom.1 v.18 “The wrath of God is being revealed against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness.”

Heb.9 v.27 Man is destined to die once,

and after that to face judgment.

Heb.9 v.28 - So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Psalm 103 v.10/11 He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth so great is his love for those who fear him.

Rom 3 v,23/24 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

Rom 6 v.23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

v.21/22 “When my heart was grieved and my spirit embittered, I was senseless and ignorant; I was a brute beast before you.”

v.1 “Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.

v.2 But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold.

v.3 For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

v.13/14 Surely in vain have I kept my heart pure; in vain have I washed my hands in innocence. All day long I have been plagued I have been punished every morning.

v.15 If I had said, “I will speak thus” I would have betrayed your children.

this it was oppressive to me till I entered

the sanctuary of God; then I understood

their final destiny.”

v.18/20 “Surely you place them on

slippery ground; you cast them down to

ruin. How suddenly are they destroyed,

completely swept away by terrors! As a

dream when one awakes, so when you

arise, O Lord, you will despise them as

fantasies.”

v.23/24 Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterwards you will take me to glory.

v.25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.

v.26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.

v.27 Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.

v.28 But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge, I will tell all your deeds.
