Request Students may choose to attend another

CMCSS high school if their program of study is not offered in their zoned school

To be eligible you must complete a Special Transfer Request found at Student Services at the CMCSS Board of Education

Students will be reassigned to the new school for the entire day

Students are required to be in school every day (TCA-49-6-3001) and after a student misses 5 days UNEXCUSED they are considered truant and may be summoned to court for as few as 5 absences (TCA-49-6-3007).  At 5 days the school sends a letter, after 7 days the CMCSS attendance office sends a letter from the BOE and also meets with the student

It's a Class C misdemeanor (educational neglect)

each day a child is absent (unexcused) could result in fines
