Parent ConnectionParent Connection continues TODAY, 9:30 a.m. in the Upper Fellowship Hall. We are

continuing with a six-week video series, “It Starts At Home.” All adults who have children

of any age in their lives (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles) are encouraged to attend.

Young AdultsThe Young Adult group will NOT meet this week at church due to VBS but they will be going to

the College World Series game that night instead. They will resume next Tuesday, June 27

then will not meet on Tuesday, July 4 but resume their regular schedule on Tuesday, July 11.

All young adults are invited to attend! For more information about the Bible studies & other

events, check out the BSLC Young Adult Group on Facebook.

High School Pool PartiesHigh School Pool Parties continue on Wednesdays. 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Lewis home (10356 Virginia

Circle, La Vista). Bring a friend, water or pop to share and we will provide the food.

Baptism BeginningsThis new course designed for parents wishing to baptize their child at Beautiful Savior will be held on

Summer Volunteers NeededWe strive to give our school year volunteers a break from Sunday School during the

summer months so they can refresh and revive. That means we are looking for new

(or older) faces to serve in our Summer Sunday School. You can commit to all summer

or just a few weeks at a time in our classrooms. There is no preparation involved – you

just show up and smile and lead some kids to Jesus. Contact Dina Newsom at

[email protected] for more information on how you can serve on Sunday

mornings or even behind the scenes preparing supplies on your own schedule.

New HorizonsNew Horizons will not be meeting in July!! The next meeting will be on Thursday, August 3. More details

to follow!

BSLC FoundationEach quarter, the Beautiful Savior Foundation evaluates requests for distributions from

our investment earnings to be used for mission related projects. The next Foundation

meeting will be held on Thursday, August 3. For a distribution request to be considered

at that meeting, please return a completed request form to Scott Wollberg or Ted

Dlouhy, Foundation president, no later than Sunday July 23. Requests received after this

date will be evaluated at the November 2017 meeting. Please contact Scott Wollberg

L.I.F.T.The July event is attending a musical comedy at the Jewish Community Theater (333 S 132 Street). Thend

comedy is based on the first book in a series by Joy Johnson. There are many dates and times to choose. Call

Vernette Passmore or Karen Wollberg to get available dates & times to choose from.

Concordia OmahaConcordia Omaha (90 & Blondo) currently has an opening for part-time Music Teacher forth

the 2017-18 school year. This position would be working with children in grades K-5,

teaching music, directing student ensembles, including vocal choirs & handbells &

facilitating music for weekly chapel services. Qualified candidates will hold required

Nebraska certification, be an active member of a Christian congregation (with preference

given to members of the LCMS), evidence of their love for the Lord, children & families & will
