What To Do On The Job

Vet. Tech’s apply anesthetics to animals in surgery.They assist the vet’s by giving the prescription drugs

to the animals assigned by the vet.They also groom the dog’s when out of surgery or if

the owner would like the animal to be groomed.

What Education/Training RequiredAssociates degree in health.Almost all need a license.

What High school Classes to Take?Science and math are the key high school classes to take. One year of algebra, chemistry, and biology are key to becoming a vet. Tech.

What High school Classes to Take?Additional math and science courses will add to your transcripts greatly too. First Aid, Speech, Bookkeeping, and other office procedures are good to have.

Salary and ScheduleMore than 40 hours a week. Make $25,000-$55,000 a year and having a degree will help your salary out.

holidays and are always on call. This is a major downfall to this job.
