Continental Steppe•It is the most common type of steppe
•It is mainly composed of yellowish-green grass with 40-50cm tall
•It is very abundant in places with lots of rainstorms and with constant and strong winds
•It is found in continental areas
Subtropical Steppe•It has very short green grass with 4-5cm tall and some small bushes
•It is common in the dry and temperate areas with mediterranean climate
•This type of grass just needs a small amount of water to survive and still green so there is just a short wet period
Shrub Steppe•It is composed of small bushes of several types
•It is a abundant in very dry inland places usually near to deserts
•Massive extensions of low land
•Habitat of many small animals
Alpine Steppe•It has medium-height grass
•This type of steppe is always located in high latitude places, near high and snowy montains or glaciars
• It has freezing temperatures all year long
