• The problem that arose with Arius and others in this statement is that it could be interpreted in numerous ways

• I believe the intent here is very clear. There is not 3 Gods but rather ONE God.

• You can’t have one without the other

• Here is the summation of this section (just incase you are still confused.


• He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, andborn of the Virgin Mary.

• Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and was made man.

• Once the creed has established who Jesus was and how He got here, it then goes right to His mission!
