In 2002, Leftover Salmon signedwithCompassRecords labeland released Live (pronounced “liv”), a live album designed intributetothelateMarkVann.Vannurgedthebandtocontinueafter being diagnosed with melanoma, and since his untimelypassing in spring of 2002, they continued to tour relentlessly,playingcountlessclubs,theatresandappearingateveryfestivalknowntomankind,wowingtheiraudienceswiththeircrazyanticsandpowerfulmusicalmélange.CatchLeftoverSalmonas theycloseoutthefestivalwithabangSundayevening.

RailroadEarthisafestivalband.Inearly1998RailroadEarthwasbornwhenmusi-ciansTimothyCarboneAndyGoessling, JohnSkehan,CareyHarmon,DaveVonDollencametogetherinNewJerseytoplaymusicininformaljamsessions.In2001withthehelpofanagentnamedBrianRoss,thebandmemberscametothedeci-siontostartpracticingthesesongsseriouslyasabandnamedRailroadEarth.LessthanayearlatertheybustedintothebluegrassscenewithappearancesatTellu-rideBluegrassFestival,GreyFoxBluegrassFestival,andHighSierraMusicFestival.NotonlywasRailroadEarthsatisfyingtheearsofBluegrassfans,butincorporatedablendoffolk,Celtic,jazz,androcktocreatedistinctivejams.Thisblendofmusiccombinedwithlyricsofemotionalexpressioncreatesasoundunlikeanyother.
