HOW TO ENTER The "God's Dream Sweepstakes" ("Sweepstakes") is open only to bookstores with a physical location within the fifty United States or the District of Columbia. Any store location that orders five (5) or more copies of God's Dream on or before August 26, 2008 will automatically be entered in the Sweepstakes. To enter the Sweepstakes without purchasing copies of the book, an authorized representative of a bookstore (19 years or older) may submit the store name, address, email address, and telephone number by mail to Laura Feczko, Candlewick Press, 99 Dover Street, Somerville, MA 02144 or email to [email protected], or fax to 617-661-0565, and such entries must be received on or before August 26, 2008. Limit one (1) entry per location. No automatic, programmed, robotic or similar means of entry are permitted.
WHO CANNOT ENTER Entrants who employ employees and/or their immediate family members (or those with whom they reside) of Sponsor, its parent company, subsidiaries, divisions, related companies and their respective agencies and agents are ineligible.
PRIZES The Grand Prize is a visit by God’s Dream illustrator LeUyen Pham to the winning location to decorate the location store window with hand painted cut-outs of the children featured in God's Dream, and headline an in-store interactive event with children. The visit will occur between November 1 and December 15, 2008, with the specific date and time determined by LeUyen Pham and the winner, subject to mutual availability. Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $1,500 (actual value may vary depending upon airfare and other variable travel costs).
No substitution of prizes will be allowed and the prize may not be redeemed for cash or other consideration, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal value at its sole discretion. All expenses on receipt and use of the prize, including federal, state, and local taxes, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
SELECTION OF WINNER Winner will be chosen from among the eligible entries by random drawing. Odds of winning depend upon number of eligible entries received. By entering,entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the result of the random drawing.
WINNER Winner will be notified by phone, mail, or email on or about October 1, 2008, and will be required to sign and return to Sponsor an affidavit of eligibility, a liability/publicity release and/or other legal documents, the failure to do so within ten (10) days of notification by Sponsor resulting in forfeiture and selection of an alternate winner.
GENERAL Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes in the event Sponsor cannot conduct the Sweepstakes as planned. Receipt of entries will not be acknowledged and entries will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, mutilated, damaged, misdelivered, technically corrupted,
garbled, invalid or postage-due entries. Entries are void if they are in whole or in part illegible, incomplete, or damaged. Proof of submission will not be deemed proof of receipt by Sponsor. If prize is unclaimed, if winner cannot be contacted within five (5) calendar days of first notification attempt, if the prize notification is undeliverable, or if winner does not comply with any of the Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited and Sponsor will select an alternate winner. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who attempts to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by any means.Entrants release Sponsor and its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, advertising, production and promotion agencies from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, costs or expenses arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes, the conduct of the random drawing, the acceptance, possession, use, misuse or non-use of the prize, claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy, or the violation of any intellectual property rights.
