GAHP (Gas Absorption Heat Pump) - Introduction of the technology

Similar to any heat pump (use of a cold renewable source to heat the building), but the compression is replaced by a thermally reaction driven by a natural gas burner

An ultra efficient solution for heating and hot water production, with a high renewable energy share 30% to 40% energy saving compared to a condensing boiler Capacity stability at low temperatures Reduced surface area of sensors for ground source GHP (~2x) Natural working fluid without global warming potential Reliability, quietness and easy maintenance (absence of compressor due to the absorption principle) No electrical network constraints

New challenges It’s time to act!

Without your support the technology will adopt its own, SLOW, pace! If you think this technology can help your own objectives, the time is now:

Incentives and financing programs Awareness programs for engineers & installers Installation campaign in gas company’s premises …

GAHPs avoid energy expensive conversion of primary energy needed for EHPs. Therefore GAHP can obtain outstanding values of renewable energy use and reduction of primary energy use, They are mature solutions for the markets of collective dwellings and light commercial buildings, First available results from development projects in domestic market are very hopeful in term of seasonal performances, Special effort has to be maintain for regulation, standard, certifications aspects, and lobby at European level.
