Grant Programming Requirements● Programming to 30 or more youth in grades 4-8
○ 70% underserved as defined by poverty, students of color, English Language Learners, and/or students with disabilities
● 70 hours of more of high quality STEM programming that includes at least five different “out of school” STEM experiences
○ Examples: Quarterly full-day field programs; family STEM nights per quarter; summer STEM Camp; after-school programs; capstone projects during breaks
● Programming needs to be predominantly off-site○ Of the 70 hours of required programming, 36 hours of your programming needs to occur
off your school grounds. We consider high schools, community colleges, and universities “off school grounds”

Grant Programming Requirements● Sites must utilize SBS Risk Management Best Practices
○ Work with your local OSU Extension 4-H Office to register your program and coordinate
registration of educators and volunteers with OSU Extension’s volunteer orientation and background check procedure

Site Educator Requirements● Participate in the SBS Community of Practice
○ estimated at 80 hours between launch through August 2017
● Utilize the SBS Community Website (in development)● Attend two “All Project Gatherings”
