About York
Live Link up to Australia, at Shift 2.0 in 2009
We might be biased, but here at Pilot Theatre we’re in love with York. Arguably one of the UK’s most treasured historic cities, York has a charming city centre full of cobbled winding streets which all lead to intriguing and well-preserved historic landmarks. Within the comfort of the City walls (the walking of which makes for an excellent Sunday activity) there are a treasure trove of delights, the highlight being York Minster, which is arguably one of the most important examples of Gothic Architecture in the world.
We’re looking forward to having you join us for a few days in York. This pack should point you towards some information which may be useful to you, including our recommended hotels, useful maps and some important contact numbers.
We suggest that you try to arrive at York Theatre Royal at 12pm on Monday 5th July; although the !rst speaker won’t be starting until 1.30pm, there will be a light lunch and various foyer activities for you to enjoy upon arrival. Presentations will be !nished by 6.30pm on Monday, between 6.30pm and 9pm we’ll be hosting a networking drinks and BBQ and there will also be a performance of ‘The Cape Jeremy Affair’ which shouldn’t be missed. Tuesday 6th July will start at 9am, and run through until 6.30pm, and we will be serving you breakfast, lunch and all refreshments. A full schedule will be available for download from the website a short time before the conference.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me, or one of the Pilot Theatre team, on the details below.
