So here’s my story…

Buying. Selling. Making decisions. The intricacies of the human mind have

always intrigued me. I chose to tread a path, which would lead me to

building and marketing successful brands.

My interest graduated into my passion.

The human in the resource

How could two jeans of the same quality with different

labels influence the buying decision?

Started my journey at

RK SWAMY BBDOHyderabad

(12.07.04 - 31.10.05) as an Account Executive.

The 2-min formula. That’s what we

needed when the MR went to the Doctor with our communication.

Understanding Direct Marketing and developing communication was highly

challenging.Handled brands like New Life Colostrum

(launch), Relent, Mucolite, Albovit, Redotill, Rebalance, etc.

Planned & executed DRL’s participation in PEDIACON for which they won the first

prize.

Was sent to RKS Mumbai for crisis management for a month. Was promoted

to Sr. AE

I then chose to explore the world of mainstream advertising and

understand 360° brand communication.

Moved on toSSC&B Lintas

Bangalore (28.11.05 - 25.05.06 )

as a Senior AE.

Connecting with the masses.

Handled brands like cybermediadice.com, Alcazar Vodka, Cisco HR.

To further understand the market and consumerscape holistically &

scientifically, I moved to

Vertebrand Management Consulting Bangalore

(01.06.06 - 28.02.07 )as a Business Development Analyst.

Here, I got the opportunity to work on

mind-to-market for brands.

From the world of high fashion to steel pipes and

B2B to B2C, work spanned across a host of industry verticals.

Then an opportunity presented itself.

With the intention of creating social spaces which encourage bonding between families

and extended families, I founded

Mirthland Hotels in Hyderabad

(01.03.07-09.7.09)

With an integrated approach towards business strategy & brand building, I

attracted investors, planned & developed a mind-to-market strategy and then launched

Levitate – a lounge bar.

A successful brand, Levitate is positioned as an aspirational, interesting, semi-casual

hang-out between work and home that provides a space to unwind:

“Take it light” with family & friendswithout having to spend a fortune.

Always wanted to work with the best.

Learn, contribute and be among the best.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to witness and learn from some of the best of minds in the field. Which, I then deployed successfully in creating my own

business brand Levitate.

When others questioned

WHY?, I said WHY

NOT!

Always wondered why

we had to follow set guidelines

Completed ICSE (1996) from Goethals Memorial School, Kurseong,

Darjeeling, where discipline was the code, no questions asked.

Played the drums for Nepallica, Buddha, my band in school.

Was the youngest, most stylish wicket keeper & batsman to ever play for the First XI.

In football, was known for my ability to create brilliant goal scoring opportunities for my

team mates.

Learnt a very important lesson during football practice.

My seniors once told me “Play with us, you may not be able to get the

ball now, but at least you will go on improving your game!”

Graduated from Bhavan’s Degree College Hyderabad (2001)

with a B.Com degree.

Captained the college football team. Was a part of the group that initiated &

organized the Annual Fete and other college events.

My interest led me to join a multimedia course in Data Quest

I learnt a lot and enjoyed the art of brand building.

From finding ways to promote Pregnancy Test Kits (Velocit, Dr.

Reddy’s)

to developing plans for promoting

ice-creams during monsoons (Jersey Ice-

cream)

Always believed in..

Completed MBA (2004) from New Delhi Institute of Management. Won the ‘Best

Managerial

Capabilities’ Award at the Convocation. Was the creative head of the Cultural

Cell, organized SPANDAN (fest), anchored business quizzes,

won the ‘best play’ award, played for a fusion band Rudraksh.

Born 24th Dec’79 in a small town, Siliguri, WB., to Mr. Swapan Das (IIT Kharagpur) and Sagorika Das (home maker).

Watching masala movies (because I always believed in the impossible!), playing the drums, acting in theatre, playing outdoor sports have always interested me.

Admire BR Chopra’s smooth style of story telling. And a huge fan of Aamir Khan, Tom Cruise, Al Pacino, Jennifer Anniston, Monica Belluci & Clint Eastwood

Want to work for an organization that constantly challenges the status

quo and creates new solutions in order to grow.

I would like to use sincerely and effectively the various skills I’ve

acquired over time to help market brands so that they that become

household names.
