Clubhouse atDolphin Lake2700 W. 183rd Street, Homewood

Located only steps away from the water, The Clubhouse at Dolphin Lake is a stunning facility which provides a unique backdrop for your wedding reception, special event or business function. The ballroom features high ceilings, wood-look floors and scenic views designed to create the perfect setting for your special day. A wonderful wrap-around deck overlooking the lake allows your guests a private retreat with visual access to the event activities inside.

Outside at Dolphin Lake, you will find environ-mentally conscious landscaping with native vegetation and flowering shrubs and perennials. A small playground, shelter with large culinary grill and walking paths are also located near the Clubhouse.

Custom Catering AvailableLet Wiley’s Grill, the premier caterer for the Clubhouse, customize a delicious dining experience designed to entice your pallet and provide you with a memorable event.

For a complete experience, renters have the option to include the shelter and/or amphitheater located just outside the Clubhouse. Each is surrounded by lush foliage, winding walkways and lookout piers along the lake. Seasonal plantings ensure that the grounds are gorgeous throughout the year and offers a picturesque backdrop for your occasion.

Picturesque Event SpaceThe Clubhouse can accommodate up to 120 guests and features a wall of windows overlooking the tree-lined lake — an especially beautiful view at sunset when the water reflects the colors of the sky.

Full KitchenThe connecting kitchen offers convenient and full-service preparation capabilities with optional pass-through counters to facilitate serving. This amenity is provided at no additional charge.

Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center

Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center offers a quiet, comfortable rental venue nestled upon acres of beautiful forested property. The main building offers one large room that can either accommodate up to 80 guests in a single space or be divided into two smaller rooms seating 40 each. A small kitchenette, full table and chair set up and an outdoor deck overlooking the property compliment the room.

The Discovery Center, located behind the main building, offers a scenic, wooded setting for your event. Table and chair set up is also provided. The center can accommodate up to 60 guests.

In warmer months, Irons Oaks offers an outdoor tent in the center of the property. They can help you plan your outdoor event and take the ordinary “banquet hall” occasion and trans-form it into an extraordinary outdoor experience.

Whether you’re planning a corporate meeting, family reunion, birthday party or wedding reception, Wiley’s Grill strives to make sure you and your guests have an exceptional experience. Flavorful menu items and world-class event planning services are available for all budgets. Our knowledgeable staff is on hand to provide everything you need, including chairs and tables, linens, silver, decorations, servers and bartenders.

In addition to our full service indoor restaurant and bar, Wiley’s Grill provides excellent dining and special event services outdoors as well. The Porch at Wiley’s offers a scenic backdrop of Coyote Run Golf Course for a small get-together while our full-scale tent provides the ideal venue for entertaining a large party during the summer months. Wiley’s Grill also offers our delicious fare for “off-site” catering for groups at the location of your choice.

Conveniently located in a park setting in the heart of Homewood, the Irwin Community Center‘s many amenities are available for private rentals. Whether you are looking for a small space to hold a business meeting or a large venue for a wedding and reception, we can meet your needs. Our main room accommodates up to 150 guests and offers a friendly staff, a variety of room set-ups, full-service kitchen and affordable rental rates.

There is plenty of free parking in front and around the Irwin Center and the adjacent park features a gazebo, water fountain and children’s playground.

About the Irwin Center

Full Kitchen AvailableThe spacious kitchen features ample countertops and a close proximity to all of the rooms. There is an abundance of preparation space, a stove top, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer.

Contemporary SpaceA contemporary room with oak trim can be divided into four separate rooms for smaller gatherings. The center will provide tables and chairs for your event as well as speakers, podiums and microphones.

Irwin Community Center

The facility and park is nestled in the downtown Homewood area at Highland Avenue and Ridge Road. The 11-room, 27,000 square-foot building is the hub for park district and community programs. Leisure, wellness, physical activity, social events, cultural activities and much more are a part of the ongoing schedule at the Irwin Center.

Rental Requests*December 1 through February 28 will be granted the first week of October.March 1 through May 30 will be granted the first week of January.June 1 through August 31 will be granted the first week of March.September 1 through November 30 will be granted the first week of June.

*The Irwin Center is used for a large number of recreational programs, therefore, the facility can only rent space based on the schedule above.

The Flossmoor Field House is a multi-use facility suited for gatherings of up to 50 guests. The building is ideal for small events and business meetings. Located at Flossmoor Park, the field house is also perfect for gatherings with indoor and outdoor activities. Table and chair set up is included with rental.

The H-F Racquet & Fitness Club offers an innovative and exciting location for your next event of 50 guests or less. The Club has hosted birthday parties, student groups, corporate retreats, team-building groups, private parties and other events. Audio/visual equipment is available and food may be brought in. The fitness studio may also be rented and is equipped with a sound system, mirrored walls and wooden floors. Instructors are available for an additional fee. The fitness studio capacity is 40. H-F Racquet & Fitness Club

The Ice Arena’s multi-use room is just right for groups of 45 or less. Skating parties for your friends, church socials, scouts, clubs or corporate groups are always popular and well attended. The auditorium features a beautiful, full-sized gymnasium that is perfect for your next large event, party or pickup game. The hardwood basketball court has adjustable height hoops with glass backboards. With the capability to set up volleyball courts as well, the auditorium is the perfect location for all your sporting needs; and with the ability to cover the sports floor-ing, the gym can be transformed to seat 300 for your next large event or performance.

The H-F Sports Complex offers a state-of-the-art gymnasium that can be set up for a variety of activities, the space includes two regulation basketball courts that can be divided by a curtain or three regulation volleyball courts. The gym may also be used to host youth soccer practices, floor hockey and dodgeball among other sporting events.

Any group with 15 or more that wishes to use a park must purchase a permit. If your group wishes exclusive use of the shelter and or picnic tables at Goldberg, Dolphin Lake, Hillcrest, Apollo, Leavitt, Patriots, Ballantrae, Irwin or Millennium Park, this request must be specified on the Park Permit form. All other park amenities (playgrounds, ball fields and water playground) are open to the public.

Picnic permits for all parks (except Irwin Park) can be purchased at the Goldberg Center. Irwin Park permits can be purchased at the Irwin Center. A maximum of 50 people are permitted per rental. Rental fees are $50 R / $100 NR for Dolphin Lake Park and $25 R / $50 NR per hour for all other parks. Groups up to 100 may apply for a permit at Irwin Park only. Fees are $40 R / $80 NR per hour.
