All About Me...
- I live in Queensbury, NY, which is 10 minutes from Lake George
- I attend school at SUNY Potsdam
- I love dogs and have a Yorkie named Max
- The lake is my favorite place in the Summer - I have 2 brothers and 1 sister
- I love spending time with my family and friends
- I enjoy hiking and watching sports
Experiences…• I am the oldest of 4 children and the oldest of 16
cousins, so I have always helped them learn as they grew up.
• I babysat for many children ages 6 months to 10 years old during my teen years and still continue to do so.
• I was a mentor at the Potsdam Middle School for a 5th grade girl.
• I mentored four 4th graders and two 1st graders at the Sheard Literacy Center.
Goals…
- I want to speak in a more professional language and not use the word like as much as I do now when speaking to students and teachers.
- I would like to learn how to appropriately address students who misbehave in class. I will see how my mentor teacher addresses these children and handles the situation.
- I hope to acquire better classroom management from my mentor teacher. I will ask many questions, focus on how activities are taught and resources used, and time allotment.
