Company Overview
Performanta was born in April 2010 and is home to over 100 information security specialists. Performanta
is an information security organisation with its Head Office based in Midrand South Africa, and offices in Cape
Town, London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Lagos and Sydney. According to BMI-T 2015, Performanta is the largest
information security company in Africa by size and turnover. We provide a practical approach, competitively
priced services, dedicated client commitment, and a spirit of excellence supported by a team of highly

Performanta Academy
Dubbed the “largest human capital shortage in the world”, information and cyber security experts are
expected to outstrip supply before the end of this decade. Having to face this current and future skills gap,
Performanta made a conscious decision to travel down the academia path and make a contribution to this
global concern.
Enter Performanta Academy. The Performanta Academy was established to address and cater for this
industry shortfall in qualified and experienced information security resources. The Academy has developed
a unique training framework to develop qualified information security specialists.
The Academy offers an all-encompassing curriculum (IS+) accompanied by practical experience driven by
proficient professionals with years of profound understanding and comprehensive knowledge of the
information security field.
To complement theoretical knowledge, the academy provides “hands-on” practical experience via our
physical labs and our Cyber Security Operations Centre.
We have partnered with SAQA and MICT SETA to develop our qualification to be nationally recognised in
South Africa.
The academy also offers a skills gap assessments to ascertain the actual information security skills set and
