1. FOREWORD

1.1. General warnings

This manual contains all the

information necessary for the correct

use of the machine and the

procedures for its proper

maintenance.

These rules should therefore be respected in the common interest. The buyer must ensure that this manual should always constitute an integral part of the machine in question. The operator must consult and understand this manual. He must make sure that the indicated procedures are effectively and scrupulously respected, taking on full responsibility in this regard.

The manufacturer cannot predict all circumstances of potential risk, so the warnings contained in this manual cannot cover all safety precautions. Should you have doubts or concerns about safety during its use and maintenance procedures, contact the manufacturer or the service centre.

Warning

The machine user must fully read this manual before starting the machine, paying particular attention to all the warnings.

The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for damage caused by errors or failure to follow instructions, while moving, using or during the maintenance of the machine.

1.2. The manual

The manual is an integral part of the machine and must be stored carefully. It must follow the machine throughout its productive life. The manual refers to the functional and technical specifications and to the machine’s performance and operating and maintenance instructions.

performance depend on the correct application of

all the instructions contained in this manual.

1.2.1 Conservation

The manual must be kept in a suitable place, so that it is always available for consultation, in pristine condition.

The machine illustrations are given for educational purposes only and are not binding for the Manufacturer, who reserves the right to make changes of the components, parts, supplies for further improvement, or for any other reason, without updating this manual if these do not alter the operation and the safety of the machine.

In order to highlight relevant important parts of the text or important features, various symbols, whose meaning is described below, have been adopted.

2.1. Manufacturer's details

Hazard

It indicates a general danger

which, if not strictly observed, could

result in personal injury.

Warning

It indicates information or a precaution which must be observed to prevent damage to the machine or to its parts.

2.2. Machine details

2.2.1 Model

Important

It indicates technical information of

particular importance, not to be overlooked.

1.3.2 Glossary and terminology

Some terms used are described in the manual in order to provide a more complete picture of their meaning.

Machine: This term is used to indicate the equipment for disinfection larvamatic, subject of this manual.

Manufacturer: this term is used to indicate the company Bleu Line srl, manufacturer of the machine described in this manual.

Operator: it indicates the person or persons installing, operating, adjusting, maintaining, cleaning, repairing or moving the equipment.

Routine maintenance: all the operations necessary to maintain the machine’s functionality and efficiency. These operations are usually programmed by the manufacturer, who defines the means of intervention.

This machine complies with the safety requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. This conformity is certified and the machine shows the EC marking which certifies its compliance.

2.2.2 EC plate

The technical data of the machine is shown on the nameplate. This plate contains the technical data relating to the machine: ▪ serial number, ▪ manufacturing year.

Warning

Removing or tampering with the

nameplate is absolutely forbidden.

The plate must always be kept legible as regards the data it contains and periodically cleaned. In case of loss or deterioration, the manufacturer suggests requesting a copy and replacing it.

2.2.3 Declaration of conformity

The EC declaration of conformity is the document signed by the manufacturer that guarantees and certifies that the machine complies with all legal requirements in terms of safety. The document is attached to this manual.

2.3. Technical assistance

The manufacturer is available for any technical problem and for ordering spare parts.

For any communication relating to the machine, always provide the following information: ▪ the machine model; ▪ date of purchase; ▪ detailed information concerning any

difficulties which have arisen and possibly any images supporting the explanation.

Should any doubts remain concerning the use or maintenance of the machine, we recommend you contact the manufacturer.

Warning

The manufacturer declines all responsibility for accidents to persons or property resulting from non-compliance with the provisions listed in this manual and the non-observance of safety regulations and accident prevention regulations in force in the various countries.

2.3.1 Spare parts

To ensure perfect operation, any repairs or replacements of partsshould only be performed with original spare parts.

The use of non-original spare parts not only voids the warranty but can compromise the proper operation of the machine.

any deterioration of the performance of the

machine or for any damage it may suffer, due to

use of non-original spare parts.

3. SAFETY

Important

The manufacturer is not liable for accidents

caused by the user’s non-compliance of the laws,

regulations, standards and rules in force.

▪ Carefully read the instructions in the manual supplied.

▪ During operation, only use the clothing and/or personal protective equipment indicated in this manual and those envisaged by the legislation concerning safety in the workplace.

3.1. Safety warnings

3.1.1 Refuelling

▪ Do not overfill and clean up immediately in case of spills.

▪ Follow all precautions and instructions on the labels of the chemicals used.

▪ The machine and the products to be applied must not be touched by untrained people and children.

▪ Tighten the cap of the chemicals tank well in order to avoid the loss of products while working.

3.1.2 Chemical products

▪ Do not allow any direct contact. ▪ Avoid ingesting the chemicals used. ▪ Read the labels of the chemicals that you

are about to use, for further precaution.

3.2. Intended use

Use the machine only for this purpose.

▪ Do not start the machine in closed and poorly ventilated areas and in the presence of flammable/or explosive environments.

3.3. Personal protective equipment

In order to use the machine correctly, the operator must be provided with appropriate personal protective equipment.

Personal protective equipment(P.P.E.)these are the tools that allow operators to work in complete safety.

The personal protective equipment must be: ▪ in compliance with current laws, ▪ approved, ▪ in good condition.

unauthorised persons to approach or

use the machine.

3.2.1. Proper use

▪ The machine must be used only for the purposes indicated in this manual.

▪ Always check the efficiencyand integrity of the machine.

▪ Only use original spare parts.

3.2.2 Misuse

Any use of the machine for purposes other than those envisaged by the manufacturer, is considered misuse. Using the machine for operations other than those described is strictly prohibited.

The manufacturer is not responsible for any alternative use or for failure to comply with the instructions provided by the manufacturer.

The machine described in this manual is a dispenser of formulations (Ready to Use products and concentrates). The machine is a device for controlling the larval cycle of mosquitoes in urban and suburban environments. Specifically, it has been designed and built to be used with Aquatain AMF TM. However it can also be used with other formulations. It is particularly suitable for applying the product in drainage systems, air vents and grid paving.

4. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

4.2. Accessories included

The machine is equipped with the following accessories.

E2.Battery charger . To recharge the battery E. To be placed in the inside pocket E3 of the backpack when not in use.

B3. 90° curve . To be used in air vents and in the presence of obstacles, such as parked cars, for example.

B4. 45° curve . Suitable for the operator’s

correct posture.

5. USE OF THE MACHINE

5.1. Preliminary procedures

Before using the machine, you must:

A. charge the battery;

B. fill the tank with the formulation.

5.1.1 How to charge the battery

To charge the battery of the device, proceed as follows: ▪ remove the charger E2 from the backpack;

When the recharge is complete: ▪ disconnect the plug E3 from the charger’s

jack E1 of the machine ▪ put the charger back into the pocket of the

backpack.

5.1.2 Filling the tank

To fill the tank D with the chosen formulation, proceed as follows: ▪ place the backpack in a vertical position; ▪ unscrew the screw cap D1; ▪ remove the safety cap D2,

▪ proceed with filling the tank.

▪ connect the unit to the mains; ▪ plug the E3 of the charger to the jack E1 of

the machine

The battery LED will light up (red ).

When the charging cycle is complete, the battery LED becomes green .

Once you have filled the tank D: ▪ insert the safety cap D2 and screw on the

screw cap D1.

Important

The machine is equipped with a 2 l

graduated tank. It can deliver up to 2000 1-ml

applications of product or solution.

5.2. Start-up

To begin using the machine: ▪ open the zipper on the backpack; ▪ press the power switch C3, located on the

junction box

5.3. Use

The operator must wear the backpack before proceeding with the dispensing.

You must wear the backpack correctly for the success of the operation and the operator's safety. Proceed as follows: ▪ place the backpack on your back through

the 2 adjustable shoulder straps A1; ▪ make sure the backpack is well placed on

your back. The backpack is placed correctly if worn as displayed in the picture.

If necessary, adjust the length of the shoulder straps A1 by using the friction buckles A3:

5.4. Operation

To dispense the product: ▪ press the trigger button G.

Pressing the button G triggers the horn C1.

Important

Upon first use, it is necessary

to fill the circuit with the product.

Spray 10/20 times for this purpose.

Warning

Warning

Follow the instructions listed below.

▪ Do not spray the product towards open

doors and windows, cars, animals, children or anything that might be damaged by chemicals.

5.6.Flow control

5.6.1 Flow capacity

The micro switch C2 allows you to adjust the product’s delivery flow. You can increase or decrease the dispensing dose by 1 ml at a time: from a minimum of 1 ml, to a maximum of 5 ml.

5.5. Shutdown

After you have finished: ▪ open the zip and press the power switch

C3, turning it from position 1 to 0; ▪ close the zip of the backpack and store the

machine in a safe position.

The machine shutdown is indicated by the switch-off of the high visibility LEDs A2, placed on the backpack.

▪ To increase the dose dispensed, turn the micro switch C2 to the left.

▪ To decrease the dose dispensed, turn the micro switch C2 to the right.

Important

Every time you turn the machine off and

on, the delivery dose is 1 ml, regardless of what you

have previously set.

5.6.2 Flow direction

Each spray gun is equipped, at its tip, with a pair of adjustable nozzles B8, which allow dispensing the product.

5.7.Accessory replacement

According to where you need to apply the treatment, it is necessary to mount the most suitable accessories.

To replace the curves and the extensions, follow these steps.

5.7.1 Disassembly

▪ Remove the screw B5.

▪ Pull and remove the outer pipe of the extension B1-B2 from the curve B3-B4.

▪ Click on the fast-coupling B6 of the extension and slide the tube out B7 of the curve.

The nozzles B8 can be moved in the directions "forward", "back", "right" and "left”. To move them, simply turn the nozzles manually.

Should you need to replace the curve B3-B4, repeat the above steps and also pull out the other end.

5.7.2 Assembly

▪ Choose the accessories (curves and extensions) to use.

▪ Insert the curved B7 pipe, into the extension’s B6 fast-coupling applying pressure.

▪ Restore the spray gun’s shape by sliding the outer tube of the extension B1-B2 into the cavity of the curve B3-B4.

▪ Screw the screw back on B5.

▪ Push the pipe in the direction of the nozzles, in order to unfasten the fast-coupling B6 of the non-return valve.

To replace the curve B3- B4, proceed in the same way at the other end.

7. MAINTENANCE 7.2.Extraordinary maintenance

Warning

Before carrying out any type of maintenance, always turn off the machine.

7.1. Routine maintenance

Regular maintenance prolongs the life of the machine and ensures better performance. Good maintenance will include ordinary maintenance operations through checks and tests carried out by the operator.

7.1.1 Machine cleaning

Seasonally, thoroughly clean the machine.

Proceed as follows: ▪ fill up the tank D with plenty of water; ▪ spray the water several times, to clean the

inside of the machine.

If necessary, repeat the operation.

7.1.2 Storage

Should you forecast a long period of non-operation, for example a winterstorage, it is necessary to performa protective pre-storage maintenance, which includes the following steps.

▪ Store the machine in a dry and dust-free

place. ▪ every 30/60 days, carry out a full battery

recharge, in order to keep the battery in good condition.

Warning

For any extraordinary maintenance operation, you should contact the manufacturer in advance, in order to obtain the necessary information.
